Hands down the best place we spent in a location. The stars so vivid at night, the camel ride so magical, the beautiful sunrise, the amazing sunset, the sands so clean, untouched and pure. Do yourself a favour and come to this place!
The desert sand will always remain in my mind. It is an amazing experience that I recommend with confidence. The company offered us an amazing trip, friendly people, professionals, super incredible accommodations, delicious food. In a word, amazing!

The dunes of Erg Chebbi are the most important in Morocco; during our trip we stopped in Erfoud so we were there, with 4 x 4 at a certain distance of the dunes (for some years it has been strictly forbidden to use any motor vehicle to access the dunes!). There are two possibilities, on foot or with one of the camels present (with a camel driver); less tiring but certainly less fascinating. The program was to wait for the sunset in the dunes: a nice walk of an hour and found the right spot among these ochre sand dunes here that the desert offered us this fantastic show that in silence you can appreciate even more!
Experience to live it and not to describe it. In my case they took us by 4x4 from Erfoud to the foot of the Erg Chebbi desert, to ride dromedaries that left us in the dunes until sunset. It is spectacular to contemplate the sunset surrounded by dunes of more than 150 meters high of that reddish sand. Additionally with this excursion, to complete the experience you could choose to spend the night in tents, tents for 2 or three people where you are unbearably hot and perhaps cold in winter. An experience to disconnect, reflect and take impressive photos of the desert. A mandatory excursion if you travel here. It is recommended to bring water and a scarf to protect yourself from the sun and sand if you are going to go at times when the sun is high. Totally recommended for families, couples and groups of friends.
It was time to catch the sunrise as we were awakened by the smell of rich coffee in our desert tent-camp. After a quick breakfast, we boarded our 4 x 4s to voyage out into the desert where we met up with Said and Aboud, two Berbers who owned a herd of camels. They were members of the Toureg tribe (associated with their blue garments and known as the blue people). We met and mounted our trusty steeds, also known as ships of the desert and ventured forth across the wavy sand, crossing dunes and enjoying views from on high. We were out for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours before returning to our Toyota and Jeep 4X4s for a traditional glass of mint tea. A fantastic time was had by all. 731000594
The desert is something unique on this planet that you absolutely must see. The golden and soft dunes, the walk on the back of the dromedary, the walks downhill on the dunes and the sunset. Really exciting!
we did both sunset safari and sunrise safari for 150 MAD each. It was for about 1 1/2 hours each. The camel owners will take you only about 4-5 kms inside the sahara from the main road. However if you are a die hard fan and have time and are ready to bear the sun, I think doing a safari till deep inside would be good though we did not have time to do that. The 1 1/2 hours safari which we did in January end 2017 was a really awesome experience. Must do for travellers. It was really cold early morning so you need to wear proper clothes. Another option which we saw many people doing and we thought was very nice is that people walked till the sunrise point in the morning and walked back. So maybe if you are okay with walking in the dessert and have enough time you could do one walk but hey...camel ride is an awesome experience so can do both sunrise and sunset
Visiting the sand dunes was the highlight of our Morocco trip. There is the option of visiting them on a dromedary. Part of our group decided to explore the dunes on foot. You will certainly be accompanied by some locals who expect a tip at the end or that you buy something from them. Although it didn't look like it for a long time, we ended up experiencing a great sunset and a great atmosphere.
The Merzouga desert is amazing, you are already in the middle of the sand dunes and at sunset it is spectacular, the sand is very fine and the location is suitable for taking countless photos!
