View on Google MapsWe had a great half day kayak tour out at Abel Tasman! Ed was a superb guide who did a great job spotting seals and sea life while we were out on the ocean. Lunch was delicious. The company also did a great job of accomodating my spouse's neoprene allergy. Book with confidence - you will enjoy it immensely!
Enjoyed the part of the tour that followed the Abel Tasman shore. It rained very hard during the excursion and though the guides worked hard to cope, it seemed they were not well prepared with shelter for the lunch stop. The sandwiches were not of good quality. The boat took very long to pick us up and we didn't get back to change into dry clothes until 2 hours later.
This was an absolutely amazing experience! Would do it again in a heartbeat! The service we received was excellent and all the staff were wonderfully welcoming. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed both the hike and the kayaking and could not decide which of the many highlights of this day, was our favorite. The scenery is just gorgeous! I can highly recommend Abel Tasman Kayaks. Thank you, Jack and Mitchell, for making this a truly unforgettable day.

Weather forecast not good for Thursday, so changed kayaking to Wednesday; great experience; our guide, Whitney, was calm, patient and informative; all went smoothly and was well organized; lunch was a delicious vegetarian sandwich, apple, brownie and hot coffee; we saw fur seals and a variety of birds; we had some small waves and some flat water - nice variety; we wore spray skirts and life jackets; there were hot showers available upon our return
We loved the kayaking and the guide was great! The only thing which was not mentioned when we booked and we did not realize until after kayaking was we Would need to trek back to the start! The tour description stated we start and end at the same location. This would not have been a big deal since we are both runners however my husband wore only water shoes and we were told those would be fine. Not so… it took us 3 hours to get back! You definitely need to add this to the description! This would have e been perfect if we would have had any warning.
Great half day kayak trip with Georgia and Brody! Lots of good info about the area from them both. It was a bit rainy when we started, but ended up being a really beautiful day complete with seals and a killer beach. Would recommend.
Would 100% recommend the seal sanctory tour. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and made sure that we enjoyed our day. We had plenty of time to get photos and have breaks. The lunch provided was super delicious! Everyone I dealt with was really helpful and friendly.
Well organised and friendly company with good equipment and attention to safety. We really enjoyed the water taxi ride up to a beach along the Abel Tasman track for lunch , followed by a unhurried kayak over to Adele island to visit the seal colony and then a kayak back to base.
