Along the ways passes through the picturesque villages. After arrive in Toraja, visit Kete Kesu, Marante and Pallawa village to get a glimpse of Tongkonan traditional house of Toraja people. For sure you will visit the famous funeral burial in those places. Drive to Sadan Tobarana Village to see traditional hand weaving of Tobarana Toraja fabric by old women. We enjoyed our trip with Mussalim the guide and Iman our driver. We really lacked nothing. Program could be adjusted if necessary. We even attended a Toraja funeral! The explanation about Tana Toraja, but also our questions about Indonesia and the lives of the ordinary inhabitants of Sulawesi, were very valuable. Tana Toraja is really great! Visiting this special culture has been on my bucket list for a long time and has surpassed everything! The driver drove us safely everywhere even when the road was in very bad condition. Overnight stay was nice at the Toraja heritage hotel.
