View on Google MapsWhat a nice evening getting to know Luisa and hear about her family’s history in the district. We learned how to make pasta and bruschetta and had a lovely time.
We arrived at the home of Luisa in Pistoia, Italy. She welcomed 8 of us into her lovely home for a cooking demonstration and a wonderful meal. She showed us how to make egg pasta, we all took part in making the pasta which was a lot of fun. We then saw how she made Bruschetta with tomato and garlic, oil and basil and how to arrange a plate with local meats and cheese. Our first course was the pasta we made with a delicious zucchini sauce with garlic and mint. Our second course was pork with milk and sage along with Gratinated cherry tomatoes. Most of the meal came from Luisa's garden which made it so fresh and delicious. Our dessert was a traditional Creme Caramel. We had homemade bread and local Tuscan Red and White wines. This was one of the highlights of our vacation, Luisa was a wonderful host, she was so warm and made us feel so welcome. We were a group of 8 friends, but after sitting around the table with Luisa and learning about some if the traditions involved in Tuscan cooking we felt like a family of 9. Thank you so much Luisa for your warmth and hospitality. This will be one of my favorite memories of our beautiful tirip to Italy.

We had a fabulous time. Host was so knowledgeable about food, culture and area. Definitely recommend. Good value for money.
We enjoyed a lovely evening with Luisa learning how to make two types of pasta. Luisa gave excellent instructions we started by making Tirimisu then moving onto our pasta. First an egg pasta with a filling. Then a water based pasta. Luisa showed us different ways of preparing the pasta. She then made our pasta into a delicious meal for us followed by wonderful tiramisu. Very enjoyable time with a new skill to use at home. Thankyou
If we could give her 10 stars we would! She was gracious fun and amazing to work with. We never felt rushed with our class and made tiramisu and 2 types of pasta. We sat to lunch and had an excellent conversation Would recommend making time for this class!

It was a delightful afternoon with Luisa learning know to make different egg pasta shapes and chocolate mousse. She was entertaining and fun to talk to. Her instructions were clear and easy to follow. I love that the ingredients used are simple items one would have on hand in every kitchen, egg, flour, butter, cheese, spinach, EVOO and easily substitutable with other stuff. And the ratios are easy to remember as well. Highly recommend as an activity to do especially when you are tired of churches and museums. And home made pasta and chocolate mousse are definitely something I can whip up again and again at home. Highly recommend! It was lovely to sit and enjoy what we made over a glass of wine at the end of it!
