View on Google MapsI had such a lovely and insightful time on the Mekong Meals tour. Big shout out to Mr Nan, who made sure the tour was filled with laughs and facts about Laos history. I enjoyed all the meals from beautiful patio restaurants that over look the Mekong , to street food nestled in the heart of the night market. Couldn’t recommend this tour more. I went out of my way to seek out spots featured on this tour to get even more of the wonderful foods I tried! Thank you a Chefs Tour!
Authentic food tour with off the beaten path experiences and restaurants, focusing on local specialities from Luang Prabang. Lay is the best guide and is very insightful. Highly recommend this tour!
Very nice tour, our guide Toun told us many things not only about food but also about the life and culture of the country. The food was good and plentiful, I recommend it.
Great food tour with so many different dishes. Toun was a great guide with a high level of English and interesting to talk to. He also showed us some amazing food. 10/10 reccomend
We had a great time on our tour with Som. He was very knowledgeable and shared a ton of history about Luang Prabang, as well as giving insight into local culture. We really enjoyed all of the foods we tried, and got to try a ton of food that we likely wouldn’t have tried if not for this tour. Thanks Som!
Our guide Toun was so accommodating and knowledgeable! The tour took us to many local places and taught us so much about Laos and its culture. We tried many different local foods and desserts, all were amazing! Another highlight was getting to speak to and receive a blessing from a local monk. We can’t thank Toun enough for his kindness and hospitality. Highly recommend, great value!
Toun shared so much local knowledge, food and experiences with us - you could not possibly ask for more! Amazing night ❤️❤️
We booked this tour last minute because we booked through A Chef’s Tour in Bangkok Chinatown and enjoyed it so much. This tour was just as much fun! Som was a wonderful guide, so nice and informative. All the food was amazing. The grilled fish and the sticky rice pork soup were an absolute top for us. As well as everything we got to try at the night market. You also get to stop at a temple and get a blessing from a monk, which was an absolutely incredible experience. Highly, highly recommend this tour. For us, being our first time in Laos, it was so helpful and we learned so much about the food and culture.
We traveled around Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam this winter and the Chef's Tour in Luang Prabang stood out as one of our absolute favorite experiences. Latda is an exemplary tour guide! She was extremely hospitable to our small group and we learned a ton from her, not only about Laos' cuisine but also its culture. Everything we ate (and there was a ton of food) was delicious and the walk around Luang Prabang at sunset was, of course, beautiful. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone traveling through Luang Prabang.
Wow…make sure you come hungry for this tour. This experience had a wide variety of different meals ranging from large dishes to small street snacks. All of which were amazing. Our tour guide (nicknamed Jungle Boy) was incredibly kind and passionate about his job and he cared about your experience. Definitely would recommend to anyone coming to Luang Prabang!
