View on Google MapsWe did this excursion while cruising and it was one of the best we’ve experienced. The Baha Mia desk is very easy to find at the end of the pier. We felt well cared for start to finish. Do you want to see lots of sea life up close, be surrounded by amazing scenery and end up at an idyllic beach in a protected marine reserve with a home made picnic, this works. Thank you, Monica and Gabe (guide and pilot) for such a memorable time! We will always remember our time in Loreto and want to come back soon!
We took the Tour with the Tour Saona company... Enrique and Carlos attended us and were fantastic... the place is beautiful. A great experience.
We had our own boat for three of us, and our captain Gabriel was FABULOUS. He was super accommodating- even lifted my 90 year old mother out of the boat when we stopped at a beach so she wouldn't have to get her feet wet. While we were lounging on the beach he served us lunch and cleaned the boat. Everyone we dealt with there was lovely.
Tour desk located right at the end of the dock. Friendly staff. NP pass was purchased from little shop on the dock. We were given chicken enchilada lunch, other guests given cervicie. Not sure if we had the option to order that or not. Soft drinks provided. Boat ride to the island was awesome. Lots of animal life and rock formations to enjoy. Hiked around the island with a local guide. Tipped her. We accepted snorkel gear and planned to snorkel but water was cool and full of stinging jellyfish. So no, just waded. Shaded tables and outhouse. Relaxing afternoon.
We think the tour should have been cancelled by the operator as it was super windy and dangerous. We were with a 7 yo kid so we would have appreciated better caution. The sea lions seeing was cancelled by our boat captain because it was too dangerous to g. oWe only travel to a beach, barely snorkel because the water was blurry because of the waves, the captain talked only few English words despite it was mentioned English guide, he point at a place on the island to get "caminata", and let us go by ourself. The picnic was burrito and soda. That's it. The way in and out was hyper bumpy and my kid was scared despite putting a brave face at the beginning. On other places when it was windy tours get cancelled and rescheduled, I guess here it was more about getting our money.
We had an absolutely fantastic island tour and snorkel experience with Baja Mia Tours in Loreto. Captain Gabriel was an incredible host from start to finish and clearly knows these waters inside and out. We were lucky enough to see pods of dolphins along the way, which was unforgettable. We even attempted to swim with sea lions, but Mother Nature had other plans that day and the current was a bit too rough. Still, the experience was exciting and handled safely and professionally. One of the highlights was a beautiful picnic on the beach, made even more special because Gabriel took us to his own private beach, which we had all to ourselves. It felt like a hidden slice of paradise. The snorkeling was excellent, with crystal-clear water and plenty of colorful fish to see. Between the scenery, the wildlife, and Gabriel’s warmth and hospitality, this tour exceeded our expectations. If you’re visiting Loreto, I can’t recommend Baja Mia Tours highly enough. Truly a memorable experience.
on a Princess cruise docked at Loreto a few members of ship had their snorkel trip cancelled on Princess. The few members went to dock and found Baja Mia who had clearance and ok from port authorities to operate a field trip out to Island Coronado. The group came back happy having snorkeled for a couple hours and sight see wild life around the island including: Boobie birds, sea lions, osprey and multiple colorful fishes.
We enjoyed snorkeling and a nice boat ride around the island. The boss came along with us so that we would have an English speaking guide.
Beware! Told me that “OF COURSE” they offer hotel pickups, then ghosted me. Viator refused to provide a refund, even after seeing the correspondence.
We had an unforgettable experience on the 2-hour boat tour with Javier. It was a very special trip, just for women — from young girls to adults — organized in honor of my daughter Caitlin. From the very beginning, Javier was attentive and professional. When he noticed that my daughter didn’t speak Spanish, he effortlessly switched to English to include her, which we truly appreciated. Throughout the tour, he clearly explained everything we were seeing. We learned so much about marine life within the park. His knowledge is impressive, and his connection to the animals and nature feels deep — almost ancestral. Beyond being educational, the tour was warm, respectful, and full of beautiful moments. It’s clear that Javier loves what he does, and he shares that passion with every word. A 100% recommended experience — especially if you’re looking for something authentic, enriching, and heartfelt.
