View on Google MapsWe did this tour on the second day while on a cruise docked in Livorno overnight. Arianna was our very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide around the canal area of the city. She gave us much of the history of the city and the particular area that we toured. All very informative and at a relaxing pace. We made several stops at very local establishments to get a true taste of Livorno. First, we had a local pastry at a bakery along the way. We then made our way to Gagarin for a local treat of a Chickpea pie and a local beverage. Then on to the daily street market and the historical Central Market building for a sampling of tasty Italian meats, cheeses, breads, and red wine, all from the same shop. Next was a seafood platter comprised of anchovies, shrimp, octopus, & various examples of fish, all dressed with olive oil, lemon, red pepper flakes, etc. & another glass of wine. The friendly owner came out and chatted with us and shared some of the additional products he offered such as olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and pistachio paste. It was an amazing 3+ hours experiencing Livorno with a local guide who provided us with a memorable travel experience. Thank you, Arianna! We highly recommend this tour and tour guide! P.S. We had a restroom break!
You need to be open to trying new foods. All the foods we had were delicious!! Our guide was excellent and very informative.

rough Livorno, Italy! Our guided tour through the charming port city of Livorno was amazing with a blend of history, sea breezes, and Tuscan allure into one seamless adventure! As avid travelers seeking off-the-beaten-path vibes, we were thrilled by intimate knowledge of this underrated gem, often overshadowed by Florence and Pisa
We had a really great food tour in Livorno with Claudia! She shared her love of the city with us and made us feel like locals as we visited spots around the city. She was so gracious and accommodating, and we had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend a food tour with Claudia.
Absolutely worthwhile! Such a informative tour with incredible quality and quantity of food, history of Livorno
The tour operator (not the tour guide) is lacking in pick-up location coordination. The tour guide, Ursula, was wonderful and very knowledgeable. The tour itself is great, especially if you are a foodie.
Alice was a wonderful guide! She loves Livorno and shows it through her selection of food stops. I was full by the end of the tour. I learned a lot about the food of Livorno and some of it's culture and history too. Our group had kids and Alice was very accommodating to the young ones. She is also willing to change up some of the foods depending on your preferences. Overall a great experience if you want an easy day in port.
This was so much fun during our cruise ship stop in Livorno. We walked through the local market, had donuts, a traditional sandwich, wine, cheese, charcuterie, olive oil and some smoked fish. Alice was a wonderful guide and was so much fun to be around !
Lovely tour of Livorno completed with local guide taking in food markets And local food.Alice was her name ,a very lovely person with great knowledge of the town ,showing us historic sites as well. Had stopped at this town before on different cruise ships but this was our first time taking a tour along with the food market where as part of tour had tastes of local food. Plentiful food and great company. Thank you Alice
Alice was so gracious and warm, her love for local food infectious, and the breadth and depth of her knowledge immense. My mother and I were transported by decadent donuts, savory “5e5” sandwiches, fresh from the sea swordfish, the best olive oil in the world, and so many other flavors. A wonderfully non-taxing (physically) outing for travelers needing a break from long urban hikes. Cannot recommend enough!
