View on Google MapsLuis our driver picked us up at our accommodation and before we set off took the time to find out a bit about us and our expectations for the day and what we had on our list to see. Luis then outlined a rough plan for the day. We visited Pena Palace (Luis also our guide for the Palace - actually everything we did like walk around Sintra old town & all the stops along the coast on way back to Lisboa) Great restaurant in Sintra for lunch. Several stops & walk around in afternoon i.e. Cape Roca, Cascais etc. If you get Luis it will be good - he has done this for years & you can tell. We arranged another full day tour with Luis 2 days later to Nazare and others areas - another fantastic trip - he even presented us with a bottle of wine that we liked at the end. Thanks Luis
Sintra is the hidden gem of the Lisbon region and while it's relatively easy to do a DIY visit (hope on a train, book palace visits online and wander around), you get so much more from a guided tour. As someone who has visited the town many, many times, I chose to use Bruno Miguel after sounding out a few guides for a family visit in December. Bruno was totally professional and flexible, developing two custom tours for our group of seven: a day in Sintra with visits to Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira, with a return to Cascais along the coastal road, taking in Azenhas to Mar and Cabo da Roca; and a second trip to Tomar, Nazare and Obidos. Both Pena and Regaleira are large sites with lots of rooms and options, and Bruno cut through the lines, showing us the most interesting bits - all the hits, no filler. And his commentary was tailored to our interests. He took exceptional care of us, offering to take photos and suggesting the best vantage points (and even posed for a few selfies with us!). Even the time in the van was entertaining, with stories and recollections - and snap quizzes to make sure we'd been paying attention. Portugal is beautiful and of course possible to explore on your own, with friendly and mostly English-speaking people everywhere, but a professional guide makes all the difference in ensuring maximum use of your time, a full understanding of the relevance of what you're seeing and simply the ease of getting from site to site without having to navigate public transport, driving and parking on difficult roads or using tuk tuks and taxis. I have no hesitation in recommending Bruno Miguel top anyone looking for an entertaining and informative tour around the Lisbon/Cascais/Sintra area.
Bruno is hands down one of the best guides out there. It's worth noting that his transit van is new, spacious and top of the line. He runs his own company and yet provides all of the amenities of any of the larger companies out there with a very personal touch. His English and Spanish is impeccable and he is well versed in French. My family and I went on the day trip to Sintra/Cape Roca/Cascais. He was a phenomenal guide imparting a ton on the history and culture of the places visited. His familiarity with so many locals allowed us VIP access to several of the touristy restaurants and bakeries on our travels. Bruno is a great conversationalist and has traveled extensively himself. He was able to keep all of us, including my teenage sons, engaged during the drives between sites. I was really impressed, enough so to also go on a half day tour to Fatima and Nazare on NYE. We spent a good deal of time on the drive rehashing pop culture from the 90s. In all, Bruno knows the history down pat, is one of the most personable people around and he's flexible with any plans, ideas, itineraries you may have. I recommend him 100% and suggest asking him about things to do and places to go outside of your time with him. He helped recommend restaurants and laid out transportation info for us to get around Lisbon long before we even headed out there. If we could give him more than 5 stars we would!
Group of 6 people from Brazil and we loved the Sintra tour, Bruno was punctual and shared with us the history of the sites visited but in a fun way and with very nice details. The tour includes several stops and each one is an insta flash. We highly recommend Bruno Miguel Tours to those who visit Portugal.
Bruno was excellent , punctual, professional . Very knowlegeable. Friendly and very accomodating.i would highly recommend if you need a private tour in Lisbon!
Excellent experience with Bruno! Great communication, easy booking and very prompt! We had two full day tours of the Lisbon area and we would have missed so much without Bruno. Very nice cars/vans with lots of room. His knowledge of the area and his ability to tailor the trip to your needs is exceptional!! We wish we had time for a third day!!
We had a fantastic day with Bruno last week visiting Sintra, Cabo da Roca, and Cascais! From the minute he picked us up from our hotel, Bruno was informative, helpful, patient, and flexible. We learned so much about the history of Portugal and the sites we visited, and Bruno let us modify our itinerary on the fly when we decided we wanted to add another palace while visiting Sintra. He made sure our 5 month old son had breaks to eat and have his diaper changed and helped us stay dry on a very rainy day! Bruno took some wonderful photos of us exploring the sites and made the entire experience a joy! We definitely recommend Bruno and will 100% book another tour with him next time we are back in Lisbon! Thank you Bruno!
We had an excellent and easy day with Bruno Miguel in Sintra and Cascais. We found him on Facebook and had called him up to take us to Nazare and Obidos the day before and had such a great time that we asked us to take us the next day to Sintra and Cascais. We were 2 middle age women and 2 20 year old boys and everyone enjoyed Bruno. He was a very safe driver, super friendly and really helped my sister who had sprained her ankle two days before by translating for her at the farmacia so she could get an ankle brace. We appreciate that he was laid back and able to adjust to our plans and how we wanted the day to go. He was super dependable and knowledgeable of all the sites and we would not have seen half as much with as much ease or really appreciated the amazing history of what we were seeing without him. He also introduced us to amazing food and made it so easy for us to order. It was really worth the money and fairly priced. Next time I come back to Portugal I will call Bruno again!
My friend recommended Bruno to me and I am so glad he did! When I reached out to him, his follow-up was great and he was organized and reliable. During our two days with him, he shared with us some of his knowledge and passion about Portugal. Our first day trip was to Sintra (the fascinating Quinta da Regaleira Palace), a lovely lunch in scenic Azemhas do Mar and beautiful Cape Rocam Cabo da Roca the western most point of continental Europe before stopping in Cascais, cute town on the coast with lots of shops, cafes. The second day with Bruno was a transfer between Lisbon and Porto; Bruno did a terrific job with showing us a few great stops along the way. Throughout our time, Bruno was exceptionally knowledgeable with history and gave us great background information. He was a delight!
We had an amazing day in Sintra and Colares with Bruno! Our group of six (3 couples) absolutely loved the experience. Bruno is knowledgeable, fun, and made the history come alive while keeping the day relaxed and enjoyable. He took care of every detail, kept us ahead of the crowds, and even helped capture great photos. Visiting Colares was such a wonderful addition to the tour. Highly recommend booking with Bruno — he truly made our trip unforgettable!
