LEVI Night Star Walk on Snowshoes in the Wilderness(ALL INCLUDED)

We hadden een geweldige ervaring met onze gids Erwin! Tijdens de wandeling in een sprookjesachtige omgeving vertelde hij van alles over de sporen van dieren die we zagen en de verschillende bomen onderweg. In een trekkershut maakte hij vuur en voorzag ons van soep, thee en koekjes. Ook vertelde hij veel over de Finse en Sami-cultuur. Wij vinden deze excursie een enorme aanrader. Wandering Owl is een organisatie die staat voor kleinschalige excursies in een niet-toeristische omgeving.

Great experience, our tourguide had a lot of knowledge and we learned a lot about the northern lights and the night sky with al the stars. He also organised some special food for us as we have dietary restrictions. We were really lucky with the northern lights but it was really really cold (-30*C), not even the fire could keep us warm, so bring enough warm clothing! Can really recommend this tour. He even took some pictures with the professional camera and sent them later.

From Levi we drove 20 minutes to a lake. Here we were equipped with snowshoes and hiked through a forest. In between there were great pictures of the Northern Lights and explanations of stars Autora and Finnish nature. At the end we had a warm drink and soup. All in all, a successful evening.

I had an amazing experience on this walk through the Finnish wilderness! Our guide Erwin was very patient and attentive, he had a lot of knowledge on the area and told us interesting facts about the wildlife. We were lucky enough to see the northern lights as we walked, and Erwin let us stop to enjoy it, take it all in and take pictures even though it meant we ended up over time. All the gear required is provided and there is time at the beginning to put it on. Even if we hadn’t see the northern lights I would have been happy, the walk alone was so much fun, the stars looked beautiful and it was such a great experience overall. I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone.

It was a magical experience. We booked it very last minute, however guides were well prepared and passionate, also taking into account to give us the tour we’d prefer. They welcomed us and told us it’s their launch season here in Levi. Honestly before coming, I was like taking a risk to go for a new one without comment. But it turned out very marvelous. We’re lucky enough to see aurora and also had some true connections with the guides, getting to know arctic area and aurora better. At some point, there’re no guides or guests, but human beings together amazed by the miracle of Scandinavian life.
