View on Google MapsThis tour is awesome. It's an excellent way to maximize a short time in Tasmania. The Crad mountain portion is a must for any nature afficionados
Overall a good experience but could be better. Confusion with pickup as even though I registered my hotel had to walk to main pick up point as I booked on Tripadvisor not their website. So many unnecessary stops each day. Sheffield a waste, Campbelltown had one good cafe and Richmond was the best in stops, as the bakery was superb. Graeme and Nick were good guides, but sometimes too much talking while in car. We were left to walk ourselves and wonder, except Graeme did walk up with us to Wineglass bay lookout. Day 2 was my favourite. Had to ask to see Raspberry farm as was not an option but such a beautiful setup why only give people the ice creamery option? Cradle mountain weather too warm to see its beauty. The cruise at Port Arthur a waste and was expecting something different. Mgt responded to emails except for main complaint. A lunch on day 2 at winery with group would compliment trip as a bit disruptive with changes to group and bus after building bonds with others. Smaller buses also too cramped.
Very good and comprehensive tour across areas in both Launceston and Hobart. The guides were very knowledgeable, eager to impart information and deftly handled logistics in every area visited. They were also very perceptive in terms of adjusting itineraries depending on the skill level of those in the group, while making sure people don’t miss out on the experience. Would recommend overall if you want to just enjoy this trip without having to think of the smaller details, especially with driving through steep and winding roads.
A worthwhile tour to go on if it is your first visit to tasmania! Weather was good for us and we got to visit all the places as stated in the itinerary! These places are beautiful and definitely worthwhile to go. Our tour guides Graeme and Clinton were superb guides as well, in particular Clinton. He made us feel at home and share many convict stories with us. Thumbs up to tours tasmania! Hope that you can arrange more of such tours for the western side of tasmania!
The mountain goat, lol was the best tour guide. Knew his stuff, lived there his whole life. Was a very Intimate tour. Lots of hiking but we were even able to squeeze in a couple extra locations. Views were worth it! I speak highly of this tour to anyone who asks about what my favorite part of the trip was.
Graham and Trevor were our guides for The Big Three. Both were very personable and professional. We got super lucky with the weather at Cradle Mt./Dove lake. Would recommend to all.
Pick up and drop offs to hotel door or very close by and very prompt. Tour guides were fab… very knowledgable not just about the areas we were visiting but the whole island. Kudos to Graham for supplying us all with rain coats; cloths and hats for the Cradle Mountain tour we would have hit very very wet otherwise. I would suggest anyone doing this tour to take a spare pair of clothes with them just in case! Overall very good value for money and throughly an enjoyable three days !
Decent way to get from Launceston to Hobart and the big 3, guides were friendly and knowledgeable. It was raining pretty much constantly during our first two days (cradle mountain and wineglass bay) but we still had a good time, the views were awesome despite the rain and fog. We also got to see lots of wombats which are really cute. The third day to Port Arthur is the only reason we didn't want to give the tour five stars. I wish we could spend more time in Port Arthur instead of the Unzoo (which was okay but unremarkable) and Richmond (lovely town but by the time we got there most shops have already closed). The Port Arthur ferry was also really underwhelming.
The staff were wonderful,so much knowledge on history, flora and fauna and the locations we travelled to were spectacular
Some good organisation has gone.into these tours and some options offered. Our tour guides.were all very good, had good knowledge of the places. Tour guides were laid back and good company on tour. Lunch was reasonably organised and gave opportunity to buy food for later or advised where we could buy something. Catered for a wide range of people.
