View on Google MapsHad a great experience visiting these waterfalls- they were magical. The hike wasn’t too hard and Chamba kept a great pace for us. It was all worth it when you could jump in the water at the end!
Wow what an experience this tour was! We had an absolute blast hiking to the waterfalls, cliff jumping, and getting to know everyone in our group including our guides Pablo & Freddy. This tour was honestly the highlight of our trip!
Excellent experience with our tour guide. The waterfalls are beautiful. Our guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Definitely recommend.

Great hike and great guides! Paolo picked out whole group (2 families- 4 kids + 3 toddlers/babies) straight from our Hotel to the Tamanique Waterfalls where we met up with Freddy to help us with the hike. They were both great, helpful, and very friendly. Good with the kids and videoed our jumps off the waterfalls. 10/10 would recommend
Chamba was an outstanding guide—funny, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable about El Salvador. He made our waterfall tour unforgettable for our group of 11, ages 13 to adult. Adventurous, kind, and happy to accommodate everyone. Highly recommend!!!!
So much fun! Chamba was great! What a blast! We got to go to multiple waterfall with jumps!!
First off, Salva and Freddy were very kind and great guides!! The hike to and from was about a 6 in being hard out of 10, but so worth it!! Beautiful and blessed waterfalls to visit and enjoy life.
We’d love our tour in waterfalls, our guide salva was amazing ! We jumped and and were amazed by the beauty of the trip ! Really well done
Salva was an incredible tour guide for our waterfall adventure. From start to finish, he made us feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for. He was knowledgeable about the area, patient whenever things got challenging, and always encouraging, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. His calm presence and positive energy really elevated the adventure. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and would 100% recommend Salva to anyone exploring El Salvador’s waterfalls.
We loved getting to hike and see these waterfalls! It was the perfect half-day trip when we were staying in El Tunco. Pick up was right on time at 1pm and we were dropped back off at 5pm. There was about a 30 minute drive to where the hike starts (also the option to buy a snack/use the restroom there) and then a walk down a road until you begin the unpaved hike down. There were a couple waterfalls at the bottom and you can either relax on the rocks, swim in one of the pools, or climb over the rocks and do cliff jumping over the couple different falls of varying heights. We had a lot of fun doing the jumps and the guide shows you where you can safely jump from and to. It was really pretty and relaxing as well! The water was cold in November but felt great after the hike there. The entire way to the falls is downhill and the entire way back is uphill. It takes about 45 minutes each way and can be pretty steep and slippery at portions of it (a little over 1 mile each way). There were some older people on the tour and they had a hard time climbing back up on the hike back because it was steep, uphill, and tiring. Wear hiking shoes instead of water shoes and have your swim suit already on. There’s time to towel off and put your clothes back on before the hike up.
