Small Group Historic Walking Tour of A Coruña

Alex was an exceptional guide, his passion and enthusiasm for the city is catching and we certainly felt that we learned much more than we ever hoped from the tour. Would highly recommend this tour it far exceed our expectations. We booked independently of the cruise ship we were arriving on, the tour starting point was less than ten mins walk from the ship.

Alex met us promptly and gave us good value for money. He was a mine of information and we found out so much more about the city than if we had simply wandered around by ourselves. Very enjoyable.

Alex was AMAZING! He first explained some history of ACoruna to our small group. He made it fun and interesting! Then we went on a walking tour of this lovely town - with more history and some entertaining stories. Alex has an extensive knowledge of the history, buildings and culture of ACoruna, Galicia and Spain and patiently answered our many questions. He took time at the end of the tour to give us his personal recommendations for more sights to see, and restaurants to visit - in a written format - so it was very easy to follow. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour!

Really enjoyed the pre-walk history of Coruna. Great walk of Old Town through Merchant area to new financial district. Visit to the Nunnery and purchasing their home made cookies was extra special. Guide provided list of exceptional eating and drinking places to make our post tour excellent.

Alex, our guide, was very informative and entertaining. He imparts a lot of historical and information and points out architectural details of the facades on many buildings. However, it should be noted that while we went to a couple of churches and convents, we did not go into any sites. If you want to go inside, you’ll need to come back on your own.
