View on Google MapsYuko is a sweet and charming young lady . It was a wonderful experience. It gave us an insight into the meaning behind the ritual of a tea ceremony. I recommend this activity.
She spoke good English and had a warm and welcoming presentation along with Q&As. There is an option to also wear a stunning uchikake only used for formal ceremonies. Better than a kimono. Beautifully done.
They were very kind and courteous during an unusual family situation. When my family arrived and before the tea ceremony began, my teenage son suddenly got sick. The people working there were very sympathetic, made sure he was ok, helped us as we needed, and even provided supplies. One parent stayed back with him while the rest of the family participated in the ceremony. Afterwards, the workers not only gave us treats to go, but they even brought outside hot matcha to enjoy before we left. This was extremely kind and above any service I could reasonably expect given the strange situation.

An informative and enjoyable experience shared with people all over the world. A must try to get to know the insight of tea making
this was a great activity. it was educational and also extremely relaxing. what a beautiful tradition! we also stayed after and did an impromptu sake tasting. i highly recommend this experience
Beautiful tea ceremony, everything is explained in detail, a unique experience absolutely to do as a couple or alone if you are visiting kyoto!
She was very knowlegable and explained the history and customs well. A little accent in the English but I could make out what she was saying. My first tea experience and she made me comfortable and allowed me to ask questions. Place is VERY clean and looks new.
This ceremony was a really lovely, calm and peaceful way to start the morning. Everyone in our group was very respectful and our cultural guide Yuki (I hope I am spelling that correctly) was so kind throughout the experience. She helped us understand the tea ceremony culture and history and also brought us strangers together as a group in a shared experience. I’d recommend this to any traveling who likes matcha and wants to learn a bit more about it.
Our host was incredibly gracious and a wonderful teacher of the history, the why as well as the how of matcha.
Highly recommended! Yuko, our host, was extremely welcoming and spoke fluent English, making the experience engaging and informative. She provided fascinating insights into the preparation of matcha and its cultural significance. The serene atmosphere and beautiful setting with traditional tatami mats enhanced the experience. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, thank you! 🙏
