Soham is a wonderful, charming and captivating guide who presents a curated story of Kolkata using food, history through captivating alleyways. I‘m a journalist and have been living in Asia for years. In my time here, I haven’t met a better storyteller than Soham. He knows an anecdote about every food stall you’ll visit and every specialty you’ll try, and gives street food context - historical, sociological, political. He’s great fun, too! The food was delicious and safe, too, but to me, that was almost secondary despite being a foodie. If you want to learn about Kolkata in a tasty and entertaining way, do yourself a favor and give Soham a call!

It doesn’t get better than this. Soham was an incredible guide- taking us to all the best food spots- places we would have never found on our own. The food was incredible, and Soham always manages to pull off incredible surprises throughout each of his tours. He is deeply knowledgeable, personable, an amazing storyteller, and curates and creates each tour as a work of art. I honestly would not want to tour with anyone else. Every single thing you’d want in a tour and a guide is here- look no further!

The alleyway food tour was an amazing experience for Michelle and me. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and the tour was so well thought out — taking us through hidden alleys we never would have discovered on our own. Having grown up in the area, he brought the stories to life and happily answered all our random questions. The places he chose for food and drinks were absolutely perfect — so generous, in fact, that we genuinely struggled to get back to our hotel after the amount we ate! Such a fun night. Very nice expirience on our street food tour Soham showed us the neighbourhood not only showing us the tastiest Streetfood, but also sharing with us stories, places and knowledge about Kolkata. You can tell, he is an experienced guide as the tour had a great pacing and went very smoothly. Big recommendation.

We took the tour on a Friday evening and had a great time. The food was delicious and was very representative of the area. I really appreciated all the local insight and personal stories.

Calcutta is an overwhelming place and it’s great to have a guide who really knows the city. Soham clearly has a love of his hometown and it shows in the story he tells and the way he guides. Come hungry! The food is interesting and delicious. I live in India and still got to experience food I have never had before. Note: The evening food tour is long, there is a lot of walking and noise…so just come prepared for those small challenges!
