View on Google MapsWell planned with knowledgable and engaging guide. Got the extra oysters and was glad that I did that.
It was a little boat ride around the bay. Oysters were a free for all, wine was topped up on request.
The entire trip from the snacks to the knowledge shared on local developments and the conservation areas was thorough and thoughtful! Not to forget the most delicious oysters,
The skipper's knowledge was amazing. It was worth going on this boat trip. Will recommend it to anyone. Oysters was fresh and delicious.

The guys at the Knysna Charters are racist. On our visit there, there were a couple of people waiting to go on the tours, some like us were going on the oyster tour and some just the normal tour, when the time came for our skipper to take us to the boat, instead of separating us by the type of tour we chose they separated us based on race. So one boat was only blacks and the other boat was only whites.
Benjamin is an excellent guide, with a lot of knowledge and experience. We learned a lot and really enjoyed the trip.
Lovely oyster tour with Knysna charters, the wine and oysters tasted good but more important the crew was very friendly and enthusiastic, they had answers to all our questions. Certainly a must do while being in Knysna!
Sehr gute Erklärungen zu Flora und Fauna. Das Erklären von der Aufzucht von kulitivierten Austern ebenso der Wuchs von wilden Austern. Austern- und Weinverköstigung.
The weather was bad but the tour was wonderful! Vincent, our captain, was thoughtful and insightful about the lagoon. A great 'shucker' of oysters. The Wine flowed as well as the conversation ' a great afternoon- even in the rain!
Our skipper Justin was simply great. He shared all about cultivated and wild oysters with us, whilst taking out to Knysna head. The oysters, wine, out at sea, best company in the world.... it was a very happy day out to sea for us all. And just seeing the change from the calm waters to the crashing waves beyond the head is WOAH! No wonder a capable captain is needed to bring the ships into the heads. :)
