View on Google MapsAbsolutely great tour. Guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. Watching the sunrise from Haleakalā was spectacular. If you go- be prepared it is quite cold at the summit and you are standing there for quite a while.
It was a great trip. The sunrise was beautiful. The tour guides, Everett and Jeff were very good. They shared great information and were fun to talk too. Breakfast was fantastic. One piece of advice, if you book your tour through anyone other than Valley Isle, we booked through Viator, call Valley Isle to make sure you have the correct pickup information. We were given a different time and hotel. We called because we couldn't figure out where to park our car. We were told they would pick us up at our resort and the time was different. We were so glad we took the time to check. You will love this tour.
We had a great trip. Everett and Jeff were the best tour guides. So much information. Your at the top of the mountain 1 1/2 hours. It wasn't as cold as we thought, but best to be prepared. One thing: call the tour company to check pickup time and location. We were given the wrong pickup place and time. I called the day ahead and found out they would pick us up at our resort. So glad we did as there was no place to park at address we were given.

Everett & Jeff were excellent guides and drivers and all around people! The were wonderful and helpful and thoughtful!
The tour guide’s Abe and Jeff were amazing and the experience as a whole was great. There was a little miscommunication on the email I received stating the pick up time was 2 AM when actually it was 2:45 AM. Not sure if it was Viator or Valley Isle excursions that sent the email.
This was definitely a not-to-miss outing. Being picked up a 02:40 am is a bit tough but once you're up and in the van, the worst part is over. Until you get up to the mountain top where it is FREEZING AND WINDY. Thankfully our tour company (Valley Isle Excursions) had fleece lined ponchos for us. I had three layers of clothing plus long underwear and I still would have been uncomfortably cold without the ponchos. And event lifesaver!! Thank you Valley Isle. I will never forget the sights of the sunrise on top of Haleakala.
Dress warm and plan to relax! You arrive early for the sunrise and wait in the dark. Very informative guides and knowledgeable about the area and history. Breakfast is a special treat at a beautiful location also! Be sure to purchase the local fruits to try.
Very well organized; great guides who shared so much wonderful knowledge about Haleakalā. We had prime viewing spots for the sunrise and after, they took us to different viewing spots. It was an amazing Maui expereince!
Prompt pick up at hotel. Comfortable bus ride. Even provided warm ponchos for our chilly morning Breakfast at the end was the icing on the cake.
We were picked up on time and they were efficient getting the other guests. They confirmed several times and the tour guide gave good info.
