About
This is a great, year round, offering for rain or shine. We will Start with a vehicle tour through the city then go to the 800 year clan estate of Shimadzu. Beautiful gardens, UNESCO heritage site, Samurai buildings, and hidden walkways that are straight out of a movie. We will also explore the museum and learn about the history of the clan and industrialization with armor, cannons, stone work, and much more!
Then we stop by a beach view coffee shop and take in the views of the volcano sakurajima from a safe distance. A quick train ride will take us to the main train station and a lunch of Kagoshima wagyu and explore the main city center. From there, depending on time and group interest, we can see Japanese shopping, the riverwalk if cherry blossoms are in season, or just take the scenic street train back to the port.
This tour is great for seniors, couples, and families. We are Kagoshima only guides who speak Japanese/English speakers and a 20 year licensed tour operator.
