Guided Tour in Jeddah by local woman

Even if I had hight expectations from a private tour, this one far surpassed them. Ferial, my guide, was not only extremely competent, very well prepared, speaking a fluent English and extremely nice and kind person, but she had the unique capability (I travel a lot so met plenty of tour guides all over the world) to introduce you to local culture, make you feel the authentic vibe which is something extremely rare and valuable which is making your experience an unforgettable one. A Tour Guide able at the same time to show you both precious ancient heritage and great Saudi Vision 2030 and make you understand them. I'd recommend the Tour and the Guide to all world's tourist, especially the most interested in deepening their knowledge of this magnificent Country and its great Vision.

Ten years ago I wrote the last review on Tripadvisor. The experience with Ferial was so amazing that I simply had to change that. :-) I did two tours with Ferial, one tour of the lovely Al Balad and one covering the many other impressive sights of Jeddah like the corniche, floating mosque, yacht club, fish market, etc. The tours were organized very well with punctual pick-up. During the tours Ferial shared many insightful information regarding in particular culture and history. In addition you could ask any question which came to mind and Ferial took all of them seriously and provided meaningful answers. She does not only stop at sights but makes you understand through the way she shows you things. For example, we did a picknick break by the water like the locals do with local coffee and biscuits. This is surely an experience not to forget. All in all Ferial is a highly professional guide who provides much more than pointing out attractions. You could not find a better ambassador guiding you through vibrant Jeddah!

Ferial gave us a wonderful and welcoming tour of Al Balad, rich with fascinating history and thoughtful insights into Saudi customs, traditions, and daily life. Each stop was carefully chosen — from historic houses to lively streets and authentic tasting experiences — making the journey both educational and enjoyable. Ferial’s warmth and deep knowledge brought this mesmerizing old town, an open-air museum of the past, vividly to life. We’re so glad we joined this tour and left with a genuine appreciation and deeper understanding of Jeddah and Saudi Arabia.

Ferial is a fantastic local guide. We spent a lovely time in old Jeddah where Ferial made us experience local cafes and snacks and walked us around the various neighbourhoods and provided interesting historical perspectives on the old houses and museums. She answered our many questions and took time to stop and chat as well which made the experience a lot more personal. Ferial comes highly recommended! Kathia and Benny
