I booked this activity for my dad, who is very much an adventure seeker, and me, and it was definitely a good choice. It was just the two of us with our guide, Ethan. Ethan was fantastic, and we had a great time. The spot we climbed at was beautiful as well. I would definitely recommend this activity as long as you don’t mind a bit of a workout.
An amazing experience. Max is a true mountain man who took us out for an unforgetable day. Highly recommeded and a true highlight of our holiday in Canada.

We booked the Experience Ice Climbing tour with Rockaboo Mountain Adventures during our trip to Jasper, and it was hands down one of the highlights of our winter vacation! This six-hour adventure takes you out to climb a frozen waterfall in spectacular surroundings — a truly unique way to experience the Canadian Rockies.  From the moment we met our guide, Ethan, the day was awesome. Ethan was knowledgeable, encouraging, and patient — making sure everyone in our group felt confident and safe, regardless of previous experience. His coaching on technique and safety really helped us ease into the climb and get the most out of the experience. The gear was all provided (crampons, helmet, harness, ice axes, etc.), and it was great not having to worry about equipment logistics. We learned how to use everything properly before heading onto the ice, and Ethan made the whole learning process fun and engaging. The location was breathtaking, with towering ice formations that you don’t get to see as a regular visitor to Jasper, and climbing them was exhilarating! Whether you’re a total beginner or just looking for a fun, active winter adventure, this tour delivers. We’ll definitely be recommending it to friends and would do it again ourselves! Highly recommend — especially if you get Ethan as your guide. He made the trip unforgettable! ❄️
Max our guide was so patient and encouraging for the whole day. Extremely knowledgeable and made the experience incredible. He had a lot of fun with us which made the cold weather more than bearable. The location was perfect for all levels of experience and there was a scenic hike to get to the waterfall. 10/10 experience and it’s made me want to do it again later on (which I never thought I’d say). Can’t recommend this more.
8 of us were guided by Rockaboo for a couple days of private ice climbing. I've been out in the area and used Rockaboo in past years, and the quality and performance of the staff is the same as it always has been, which is to say EXCELLENT. Geweldige ervaring/excursie. Helaas staat het verkeerde ontmoetings plaats op de reservering!!! Wrong meeting address! Highlight that people bring lunch or something to eat and drink. Also good gloves!!

Ice climbing was amazing! We went to Tangle Falls. We had never done ice climbing before! The group guides were great and gave good instructions! C’était une aventure super amusante!
I did the ice climbing wall experience and had such a great time! My instructor was super knowledgeable and encouraging. I wish I had longer in Jasper so that I could have done a full day experience!! Would highly recommend this if you’re looking to try something new… the wall is very impressively built and really mimics a real glacier!
