We wanted to do something special for our 40th wedding anniversary. But what to do? After doing research we came across Floating images hot air balloon flights. I booked a flight for when we would be in QLD. The whole experience was fantastic. Graeme our pilot and his team made us feel so welcome. We were encouraged to help prepare the balloon or flight with Graeme explaining along the way. After a thorough safety briefing we climbed into the balloon basket. Then with a blast of hot air from the burners we lifted up through the light mist into the still country skies. The hour was breathtaking. After a gentle touch down we helped pack away the balloon and had breakfast with Graeme. We can’t recommend this company enough. Graeme and his team’s experience and professional skill made this adventure one we won’t forget in a long time.

Not recommended for pregnant travelers, Public transportation options are available nearby, Suitable for all physical fitness levels, Children (6 - 12 years) must be accompanied by an adult. No infants allowed., Disabled passengers are able to balloon, although limitations do apply due to the Civil Aviation and Safety Authority (CASA) regulations. CASA requires that all passengers are able to embark and disembark a balloon basket unassisted for safety reasons. No wheelchair facilities are available. Disabled persons participating in the balloon flight do so at their own risk and the company accepts no liability for any damage or injury caused. As the flight is for approximately 1 hour, passengers must be able to stand unaided for the duration of the flight. (ie: no additional aids such as seats, walkers, sticks or crutches are permitted in the basket). If in doubt, an able bodied person (friend or relative) must accompany the "slightly infirm" passenger. , Weight notification: For flight manifest purposes all passengers’ names and estimated weights (in kilograms). Please advise the booking office if any client is over 85 kilograms, or have any medical issues. As weight is an important factor in a hot air balloon; passengers weighing 110 Kg or over attracts a 50% surcharge. Due to safety factors passengers over 130kg cannot participate in hot air ballooning., During any Government Health &/ or Covid restrictions, all passengers will be required to follow the FIHABF Health/ Covid 19 Policy & Safety Plan requirements, and comply with all Federal Government and Queensland Health requirements imposed at the time of your flight. Please familiarize yourself with any Government & Health authority mandates including the wearing of face masks and how it applies to you, prior to your flight. By booking tickets to attend this ballooning experience you accept these participation entry requirements.

Went on an amazing sunrise balloon flight with Graeme who was very knowledgeable. Great trip and stuck the landing twice (thank goodness). Was good to be included in the process of set up and pack up. Would do again!
Ballooning was a lifelong dream of ours and we absolutely loved our experience with Graeme Day. The views were amazing and the company was excellent.
