Cruise Guests Layover Incheon Port Seoul Private Car Tour

My family and I toured Seoul with Dennis. We arrived via Regent SS Explorer and were picked up at the port. Dennis was great! Spoke English well, is very well informed and was attentive to our needs. We had the best time discovering and touring Seoul. Had time for lunch and a little shopping as well.

Perfect way to visit Seoul for the day from docked cruise. (It's far away and traffic is hectic... I wouldn't try it without a guide like this!) Alex was prompt, kind and professional. We got picked up just after 10am and returned to the ship around 6.30pm. we visited the palace, shopping district and the quaint traditional neighborhood. Having traditional Korean bbq with Alex was so much fun! He provided useful and interesting information about the city and country even while driving. His information while touring the sites was just enough, never too much. We are 40 and our daughter is 12. In-laws, in upper 60s came, too. All were comfortable and pleased with the tour. Travel time between Incheon and Seoul can be very long by car especially in the morning during office hours but Jenny was able to give us interesting information during this trip. She was a guide who knew the place well and she made us discover Seoul despite a very tight timing. We highly recommend it.

April was the most amazing guide we have ever had. This was the best private tour we have ever had. We loved hearing the history while viewing the sites.

We had an excellent experience with this guided tour in Seoul. Our guide met us right at the cruise terminal and provided seamless, safe transportation into the city and around all of the highlights we wanted to see. He was very flexible with the itinerary, making sure we could spend more time at the spots that interested us most, and when it came time for lunch, he recommended an excellent restaurant that matched our group’s tastes perfectly. What really stood out was his flexibility and patience—when we decided to extend our day in Seoul beyond the original plan, he adjusted without any issue and waited for us so we could truly enjoy the experience. Communication before and during the trip was clear and easy, and the entire day felt smooth and stress-free. The car was comfortable, the driving was safe, and his English was excellent. More importantly, he was a sincere and honest person who genuinely cared that we had a great day. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. This was a top-quality, trustworthy tour experience, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality single-day shore excursion when arriving via cruise.

The guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate. His English was easy to understand even if it is not our mother tongue. She did everything so that we could see as many sites as possible and explore them as little as possible in the time we had. It is difficult to choose between a frenetic pace over the main places of interest or a more sedate, comprehensive exploration of a limited number of places. This is the compromise that must be found when trying to visit a city like Seoul in a single day.

Apart from a minor glitch of taking us to the wrong hotel, ( there are several Ibis’s in Seoul) we had a great tour with Neil aka David Bailey! Thank you Neil.

Great way to see Seoul! The drive to and from eats up alot of the time, but still worth it. Still alot of time to explore.

Alex was punctual, polite, and knowledgeable. He took us to several very interesting locations in Seoul, including lunch at an authentic Korean restaurant. It was a wonderful day and his sense of humor made the day even more enjoyable. Thank you Alex.

Alex Today (June 24, 2025) our group of 3 went on a tour in Seoul with Alex. We didn’t know exactly what Seoul had to offer so we put ourselves in his capable handles and he did not disappoint. He welcomed us with a friendly greeting and then drove us in a comfortable van to Changdeok Palace, Bukchon Hanok village, Insadong Antique street, Myeongdong street, and Gwangjang food market. While we toured Changdeok Palace, Alex explained the history of the location, its people and the architecture. He also found the time to give a few interesting stories of the past and former rulers. We then had the opportunity to rent Hanbeok’s and Alex took us to some beautiful local spots that were perfect backdrops for our photos. He then was kind enough to become our photographer. Not just taking shots but suggesting poses and even helping us by requesting others who were dressed similarly to participate. We then went for lunch at a local restaurant and had some of the best dishes we had experienced our entire 2 week vacation. Insadong Antique street and Myeongdong street where we were set free to browse local boutique stores and major shopping areas, where all types of souvenirs and local street foods could be found. The day ended with Gwangjang food market, another fantastic eatery. Throughout the day Alex was personable, funny, cheerful and considerate. As soon as he noticed that 2 members in our group had difficulty with stairs he made sure to point out walking paths that would make it easier and inserted rest breaks. He made the breaks natural by telling us historical gossip and dad like jokes. He was delightful person to spend the day with and he made our last day in Korea so good that our group has immediately started to plan our trip back. When we do return we will be requesting Alex. He was a safe driver, excellent tour guide and wonderful company. 5/5 stars would recommend him every time to anyone coming to Korea. Thanks again Alex for such a wonderful day.
