View on Google MapsLa Plata waterfall is a must-see if you are traveling through Ibague. It’s like experiencing something straight out of a National Geographic magazine, or an episode of Planet Earth. The waterfall is so gigantic that it will make you feel insignificant and have you contemplating the universe. WOW! It’s gorgeous. There are plenty of bird species to spot along the path for all the bird lovers out there. Plus, there is a cute little restaurant near the top with hammocks, fresh juice, or an adult beverage, which will give you a chance to recharge for the final push to the pinnacle. Seriously, check this waterfall out, you will not be disappointed. Cheers!
Beautiful waterfall and great hike. Really pretty views and just the right length, it’s easily doable in a few hours but still enough to make you tired. Really beautiful place
La experiencia a la cascada La Plata fue increíble. Primero, contemplar los hermosos paisajes, las montañas, las aguas correr, el sonido de la naturaleza, mientras hacemos senderismo es indescriptible. Después de un largo pero tranquilo recorrido, ver la cascada, alta, imponente te deja sin palabras. Lo recomiendo, es súper económico, con una excelente atención, súper cómodo y para tener un contacto con la naturaleza vale muchísimo la pena.
Nunca había visto una cascada tan impresionante como esta. La naturaleza es sabia y asombrosa. Fui en tiempos de lluvia y el caudal de agua que rodeaba el lugar era algo indescriptible. Realizamos una caminata de una exigencia media, pero el resultado es un concierto de sonidos salvajes que te hacen sentir diminuto. Además, al hospedarme en el Hostal AIMA, tuve el acompañamiento de un guía local. Me divertí mucho!! Yo lo recomiendo, nuestro territorio tiene muchos tesoros escondidos.
