View on Google MapsI was tempted to give 4 stars because of these two negatives. However I won’t because one of them I knew about ahead of time and another is personal to just me. -you are driving in a car for 4-5 hours. Out of the 9 hours you are driving for have of it - be aware. -if you’re super knowledgeable about Vietnam war history, this actually might not be as mind blowing as you’d expect. I’m a history teacher and I guess I didn’t find myself too “wow’d”. Nevertheless our tour guide Ms. Hai and the driver Mr. Hao were awesome. Very personable, very informative, paced the tour to our liking (we skipped a spot and spent more time at another, we weren’t rushed on anything we wanted to see). They both answered our questions on anything we asked. Driving was a little crazy and aggressive but that is every driver in Vietnam so just accept / expect that and you’ll be good. Ms. Hai was very clear in her details and story telling of various history, and Mr. Hao had a great sense of humor and was very respectful and fun to cruise with. Khe sanh was a big field that has been remodeled with fake trenches and replica sfuff, and a few US tanks / aircraft that were salvaged to post up at the spot. Still cool to see and be there. The tunnels were super awesome. Hard to move around in but easy compared to the really small and tourist crowded cu chi tunnels outside of Saigon. What I did like about the very long drive was how ‘deep’ we went into the countryside. You def got to experience and get a taste of rural Vietnam and places not traveled too much by tourists. Overall I’ll still give this 5 stars and would recommend to anyone that is a history buff. Just be ready to spend half the tour in a car.
Really enjoyed this tour especially with Ms Trach! Wow she was so knowledgeable and engaging. A very moving trip. She also took us to a local pho place for lunch. Driver from Hue was on time and safe. Highly recommend this tour.
The driver Mr. Lan spoke very good English and was very friendly and easy to communicate with. The guide Ms. Thach was very knowledgeable and provided lots of interesting information about the war and tunnels. Highly recommend this tour.
I found Ma Thach and Mr Hao to be wonderful and knowledgable hosts. I asked to be taken to the DMZ above Hue . Ms Thach was extremely knowledgable of the history of Vietnam, its colonization period and the factors leading up to the more recent war. Her local perspective definitely changed my perpsective.in a most positive way. The expedition was well worth it. I highly recommend it, thank you
I had a great time on this private tour to the DMZ and a side trip to the Khe Sahn. Mr Lieu, my driver did an excellent job getting us around the sites and took some very professional looking photos of me at a couple of stops. Highly recommended, very professional company. I hope to use them again some day.
Great trip with our guide Ms. Thach and our driver Mr. Hau. Lots of great insight into what can be a complicated history. Would recommend. As a note on expectations there is quite a bit of driving as things are a bit spaced out.
I highly recommend booking a tour and transfer service with this company. I messaged them through WhatsApp and they were quick and efficient in accommodating my needs. We had a private tour of the Vinh Moc tunnels with Ms. Thach who was extremely prepared in answering all our questions and her English was perfect. She was also extremely kind with me since I am a bit claustrophobic. Our driver, Mr. Luyen, was professional and very nice. We had a last minute change of plans and the company and driver helped us out by bringing us to our new destination which was an extra 2-hour drive. Highly recommend!!!
My family visiting from the UK and my 8 year old daughter and I who live in Singapore had a wonderful day with our driver Mr. Hao and our tour guide Ms. Thach on a full day tour of the DMZ and the vinh moc tunnels and would recommend this tour along with our driver and tour guide. Mr. Hao was an excellent driver making his was skillfully through the 3.5-4 hour journey from Da Nang where we were staying. Ms. Thach deep knowledge on the history leading up to the Vietnam war, war itself and post war was impressive. I learnt so much about led to the US involvement despite thinking I knew a lot I actually knew very little and is very interesting whilst being incredibly sad about the Vietnamese people endured. I was a little apprehensive about the tunnels being narrow and small, yet despite being over 6ft (I did have to crouch) but not any point did I or my 70 year old mum feel paniced or claustrophobic. Compared to other tunnel systems in Vietnam these were comfortable to navigate and Ms. Thach did an excellent job to ensure that we were only the ones in a certain part of the tunnel at any given point in time. During our visit to Vietnam we did many tourist activities and my 8 year old daughter said this was her favourite, even over sun world and all the rides. Per my earlier comment I would recommend this tour and request Mr. Hao and Ms. Thach.
The whole family, including 2 teenagers, really enjoyed this drive and tour of the DMZ and tunnels with Mr Tai (driver) and Mr Tam (guide). We learned a great deal about Vietnam's history from Mr Tam, along with many fascinating personal insights from his experiences of the American Vietnam war. He was so knowledgeable and friendly, it was a highlight of our trip to Vietnam. Mr Tai was an excellent driver and helpful too. Many thanks. We highly recommend this activity.
We had a great time! We only had time for a half day tour, next time the Base. The trip was highly educational for both me and my nephews, who are 6 and 10 years old. Our driver, Mr. Tried, was excellent—both skilled behind the wheel and very knowledgeable about the area. Though he speaks little English, I was able to communicate with him in Vietnamese, which was helpful. He was incredibly patient, attentive, and kind. Our tour guide, Ms. Hair, spoke perfect English and was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. We had fun walking the bridge, museum, going through the Vinh Moc Tunnel, The boys and I learned so much and genuinely enjoyed our visit to the DMZ. I highly recommend this tour guide.
