Wonderful tour with Ryuji. Fantastic knowledge - he knows everything about Himeji Castle. Super patient and kind with our son asking a million random questions. A wonderful way to spend a few hours on a crisp winter’s morning. Can’t recommend this tour enough. We all came away having learnt something new about such an important part of Japan’s history. A very well-deserved five stars! Thank you also to Ryuji for the amazing restaurant recommendation afterwards.

One of the best experiences with a tour guide. He very well showed and explained to me Himeji castle. Admission fee was 1000. However I visited on the day when it was free, on December 10th. It takes around 90 minutes to get a tour of the castle. Near to it is a zoo and a lot of souvenir shops.
Excellent experience. Our guide, Ryuji, was wonderful, knowledgeable and gracious. He gave us a memorable tour of this world heritage site. Highly recommended both the guide and tour for anyone looking to have a reasonably detailed and well timed tour of Himeji.

We had a wonderful time exploring Himeji castle and going deep into the history and symbolism behind this incredible structure. Our guide was perfect and we’d happily do this again.
We had a fantastic private tour of Himeji castle with Ryuji. We were given an engaging history of the castle, the town and the owners of the castle. Ryuji was professional, witty and fun. We learnt so much about the castle. We also appreciated Ryuji’s recommendations for lunch and future destinations for us to visit.
Ryuji was an excellent guide. Pace was perfect. He geared the tour toward our interests. He was very knowledgable about the castle, grounds and surrounding area. He answered our questions as we went helping to understand the nuance of the castle.
My fiancé and I had the most wonderful tour with our guide, Rie! She brought the history of Himeji Castle to life with her knowledge and storytelling. We also felt genuinely welcomed by her kindness. Our day in Himeji became truly unforgettable🥰
