Jodhpur City SIghtseeing With Blue City Tour

The trip was actually done by BalaliForex Tours and travels who are business partners working with the listed tour operator. It was well organized with prompt on time pick up from the hotel ( in a AC Toyota Ertiga which was very comfortable) by the driver Ritesh and guide Vikas who did an excellent job. We started with Unmaid Bhawan palace and museum which is the only segment open to the public, the other two parts of the palace being the Taj hotel and the Maharaja’s private residence which is one of the largest in the world. This was followed by visit to Mehangarh Fort which was fairly clean, and definitely worth a visit, followed by walk down the blue city on the back side of the fort in old city which was the Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park / Ranisar–Padamsar / Pachetia Hill version which was a let down for its open sewer and garbage on the streets. The guide completely missed taking us to the originally advertised Ranisar Padmasar lake. This was not the other version of a bazar side heritage walk on as now corrected by the operator on Viator that covers Ghanta Ghar, Toorji ka Jhalra, Navchowkiya.. I would like to think that this listing change happened after i protested the missed twin lake visits. This shows the lack of coordination and professionalism on part of the tour operator in listing correctness and in lack of coordination in sharing the exact details of what is to be covered with their business partners who may be involved in actual execution of the tour. This was the reason for 4* instead of a 5* rating.
