Hallstatt day trip from Salzburg

We had a fantastic experience! The ride itself was great, but what really made the trip special was our driver, Kamal. He was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond by taking us on a couple of extra side trips to some lovely local villages we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Overall, it was a wonderful day and we would love to book with Kamal again. Highly recommended!

I did this tour with my family of 4, including two adult children (18 and 19 years old) - it was a great way of visiting Hallstatt and two other lakeside villages (we visited St Wolfgang and St Gilgen which were equally as interesting as Hallstatt for different reasons) from Salzburg. Our tour guide, Kamal, was extremely friendly, reliable and flexible and made our day really relaxing and enjoyable. I’d highly recommend this.

It is a very well organised private trip for a small group. Kamal was such a wonderful, well knowledgeable driver. They dropped us to the right spots, told us what to do, drove safely and gave us all the information on the tourist spots we were visiting. They were also kind and I had a truly wonderful time. A wonderful experience. A very picturesque and fairytale place on a lake in the mountains. There is no entrance fee. Paid parking is provided. The crowds are big, but we were there in the early hours of the morning when there is less flow of people.

Hallstatt, St Wolfgang and St Gilgen are wonderous places to visit. Kamal helped to make it an even more pleasant experience with his friendliness, safe driving and informative sharing. Highly recommended

Kamal was a great driver who was also able to provide some history and recommendations about the places we visited. He was very accommodating when we wanted to spend some more time in certain places and less time in others due to the weather. It was a fun day trip!

We had a stunning drive to Hallstadt, stopping at a few scenic spots along the way. There was snow all around, which was glorious for us aussies. Hallstadt itself is exceptional and must be so picturesque all year round. This trip included visits to two other villages - St Wolfgang and St Gilgen, both very cute and full of Christmas fare. Our driver, Kamal, ensured we had a wonderful experience. He was friendly, a great driver, gave us plenty of useful information, and even suggested a restaurant for the end of the trip. All up, a fantastic day. We will be spending hours sorting through the hundreds of photos we took.

Kamal picked us up from our hotel and at the end of our day, dropped us off at the train station. It was extremely convenient that he was able to keep our bulky luggage in his trunk the whole time as we had already checked out of our hotel. We got to relax in a spacious, comfortable car and really enjoy the ride.It was a refreshing change of pace from the fast-paced tours we’d been on. Kamal was incredibly thoughtful, even packing little goodie bags for each of us with water, juice, and a snack. He made a great stop in St. Gilgen/Wolfgang, and he even suggested a visit to the Red Bull Hangar, which was a fun bonus! If I ever get the chance to come back with a different group, I’ll definitely reach out to Kamal again. Thanks, Kamal, for a truly memorable day!

I booked this private Hallstatt Tour and went with 3 friends. We had an amazing time. Hallstatt, St Gilgen and St Wolfgang were beautiful, must see. As for the tour package, few days before the trip, they confirmed pick up location with me and sent me the itinerary through WhatsApp. Mido was our driver, and was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He was very easy to contact and responds promptly. During the day trip, he gave us tips as to what activities are available and where to go for the best pictures. Mido was very kind to even inform us where the free WCs are. My friends and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking this tour! Very worth it.

Our driver was so friendly, informative and patient when we found areas we wanted to stay for extra time. Would 100% recommend and use again. Such a memorable day!
