Hakone Full Day Tour with Guide and Vehicle

This was a great way to see the Hakone highlights. Our guide Yoshihiro "Yoshi" Shimizu was a joy from early booking through the end of our tour. He was helpful when preparing for the tour, inquiring about where we wanted to visit, and offered suggestions when I wasn’t sure. He was incredibly knowledgeable and we left the tour feeling enriched and understanding more about Japanese culture and the Hakone sites we visited. Additionally, our driver for the tour Mr. Suzuki with Hakone Taxi was wonderful as well. He and Yoshi were like magic, and our taxi always showed up exactly when and where we needed it.

Masami was the best tour guide. He is wise and friendly. He explained everything about Hakone and the japanese history and culture. I definitely recommend taking a tour with him. :) Our driver was on spot, he took us to the best places for photos. He was very kind and wise. He even offered me his jacket because it was cold.

Was a great way to see Hakone, Seizo was a perfect guide. Our family of four were chauffeured around all of the big sites and it made it a very easy and fun way to see everything.

Great private tour of Hakone with our guide Ryuta. Ryuta was very knowledgeable about the local history and sites and was very flexible to arrange our tour around our family’s interests. Would definitely recommend to other families.

This review is strictly for our tour guide, Kumi Aoki. Originally we scheduled for a private all day tour and vehicle in Hakone but a few weeks before our trip we were informed that the tour company could secure a vehicle for the day. We were given the choice of cancelling or to keep our tour guide and be responsible for transportation. Luckily, we decided to keep our tour guide, Kumi, because she was amazing and totally made our trip to Hakone a memorable one! She also helped us arrange transportation to the train station after our tour. I highly recommend a private tour guide, especially when travelling to another country. With Kumi, she made sure we hit all the important sights and that we stayed on schedule. She was able to knowledgably talk to us about each location that we visited and taught us things we would have never learned on our own. She was so friendly and caring. She was great with our two young children and my elderly mother. If you are in Hakone and have the choice, make sure to request Kumi. She is the BEST!
