View on Google MapsWe spent eight days with Tom Wu. The trip was perfect. Both the organization and the guide, Tom, along with the organizers Amy and Seline, provided us with all the information we needed to learn about Guanxy's history, its culture, its people, and its current way of life. We will definitely return to China with them, and it will be the third time!!!!!!!.
We visited Yangshuo in September 2024. It was an unforgettable experience - the show impression Liu Sanjie in the lake, the hot-air balloon, the nature! Big thanks to our tour guide Arthur Du - We have never received such good service and concern.
Our guide was Dani. Dani is very friendly and good english speaker guide. From my point of view it was the perfect walk among the river. Much better then take a boat. We saw local house and life.

We had a fantastic trip to China and visited a number of cities. Travel China Guide could have been a bit more organised in terms of providing airline and railway tickets in a timely manner and in both the English and Chinese version. We travelled with 3 kids and found that they could have done a better job at advising us and planning the itinerary, routes and flights. Our flight to Xian left close to midnight and a day of sight seeing was planned for early the next day with only a day and a half in that particular city. That did not work too well with the kids! On the whole our trip went really well and, apart from our hotel in Yangshuo, all other hotels were good and had a decent mix of Chinese and Western breakfast options. The guides during our trip were all extremely helpful, well informed and fun to be with. In particular, Kevin in Guilin/ Yangshuo and LJ in Zhangjiajie, were fantastic! They were very accommodating, knowledgeable and excellent with our kids and made our trip even more interesting and enjoyable. Thank you Kevin and LJ! On the whole, Travel China Guide did an excellent job and we're very happy with the service. China was a great vacation for our family with a good mix of culture, history, city life and natural beauty!
What a wonderful time today with our tour guide, Qiuyan Li! We went sightseeing on a four star cruise along the scenic Li River area and then went on to do a quick hike at Xianggong Hill for beautiful views. Qiuyan was kind and attentive, offering interesting facts about the region and gave us great tips for the rest of our time in Yangshuo/Guilin. We can’t recommend her enough! Thank you also to our driver, Mr. Cui, who was prompt and a very safe driver.
I spent 2 days in Guilin with my family with Travel China Guide. Our tour guide Ms. Qiuyan Lee was very knowledgable and enthusiastic. She knew the history behind the Reed Flute Cave and the Li River and pointed out the best places to take photos at both places. She helped us experience the local food by taking us to a noodle shop and bringing us lychee, mangoes, and lotus flower fruit. After the Li River cruise, instead of visiting a touristy pearl factory similar to the one we visited in Beijing, Lee took us to a local village so we could see what life was like in the countryside. We visited a family's house, saw locals farming in the rice fields, and saw children walking home from school. This was one of my favorite parts of my trip in China! Finally she went above and beyond when she helped me locate my glasses that I left behind in the hotel and mailed them back to me in the US.
My wife and I just finished a tour of Guilin with our private tour guide, Wendy Wen, of Travel China Guide. Wendy was extremely hard-working, very prompt, very professional, very nice, and extremely knowledgeable. She showed us all the sites and answered all our questions. Her English was very good and she definitely made the trip more worthwhile. The must see site in Guilin is the Reed Flute cave which should not be missed under any circumstances. It should be one of the eight wonders of the world. It is indescribable and mind-boggling. Must be seen to be believed. Wendy explained all the carvings and stalagmites in the cave which we would have never figured out otherwise. Another great site is the Elephant Trunk Hill and we also enjoyed Fubo hill. We were also shown Seven Star Park, which is very nice but can't compare, at least in our opinion, to the other sites. Guilin is a beautiful city and should be on your itinerary. We stayed at the Shangri-La hotel which is a beautiful hotel with great grounds, a super nice staff, a large and comfortable room, but could use a little modernizing. All in all though I would definitely recommend it. Our travel consultant, Vera Yu, of Travel China Guide, made all the arrangements for us and did a great job. I would definitely recommend them and Wendy. Also, the prices are very reasonable.
