View on Google MapsWent out on the Deep Dive on 23/08/25. While conditions were nice at the top, underwater it was reduced visibility. The Skipper did a great job in finding the best dive site, even putting a diver in the first spot to check visibility prior to us all going in, which resulted in a move. We got two great dives in and I was appreciate of the efforts to avoid the first proposed site. As per my first experience, much was great, with plenty to go around. The rest of the crew couldn't do enough and the focus on the dive briefing and dive safety was obvious. Cant recommend Blue Destiny enough!
On the day the conditions and luck weren't with me and with low vis cold water (and only my summer wettie), while some divers saw good stuff e.g. Big Wobbie I didn't, those days happen in diving. BUT I still had a GREAT day out thanks to all at BD. It really highlighted for me JUST HOW GOOD the boat, crew, people (crew and customers) and FOOD! were because I had a fantastic day AS A WHOLE - I remember leaving tired but happy after a bloody good day on the ocean, a humpback whale, couple dolphins and great surface weather to be on a very comfortable boat. Also it highlighted for me just how great the food was, I missed brekkie and was cold after my first dive but felt a lot better on 2nd dive after a generous hot lunch of Lamb and Gravy roll and delicious potato bake, salad AND pasta! Its like being on a live aboard but at home! Can't wait to go again - I need to sort out better thermal protection to extend my dive season then get out again. I really love the improvements to the ladders the owners have done extending the handles higher makes boarding a lot easier, night and day! - this came about by them talking and listening to their customers. Great skipper, DM and crew. They run a tight ship and great safety procedures without being overbearing and keeping it very fun. I've been diving many years with BD and hope to dive many more.

Dario is a super skipper, found the 40m deep K XI submarine wreck first pass and put the drop line 4m from the wreck. An absolute star! Give the guy a pay rise!
I have been on a few dives with Blue Destiny (BD) - both the deep dives and the normal double dive. Rottnest Island waters are beautiful for diving, and Blue Destiny is a reliable choice, professionally-run, and consistent. BD consistently anchors at the planned cave or dive site, which makes it very easy for divers to find the intended dive spot - you just need to follow the anchor line down. It is worth noting that dive guides are not included, but as mentioned, it is not difficult to find your way. If you don't have a dive buddy, they will pair you up with somebody. Lunch is always tasty. Visibility will always vary with weather and swell, and while BD may try to pick areas which are 'protected' by the location of the island, there is an uncontrollable element to that as well. Hiring a dive guide is always going to be expensive because of labour costs. So if you are very keen on that, consider going with friends as a group and hiring the dive master guide. All in all, I would recommend BD to any visiting diver.
The crew was professional. Information was scarce before hand. The boat was crowded it was my first experience with a cattle boat , will not be trying that again. Lunch was good and the selection was great. Weather was rough heavy swells on the bottom had sand stirred up vis was bad second dive was better lots of life still heavy swells. To used to small boat dives at home with live boat.
Had a fantastic double dive at Rottnest. Very professional and friendly crew Awesome meals Blue Destiny is a great dive boat
Everything about my dive trip was perfect. The boarding procedure, the safety briefings, the dive locations, lunch, the journey to and from Rottnest Island, professionalism of all the staff.
My 5th day trip with Blue Destiny for 2 dives at Rotto. Very well set up boat and really nice helpful crew. Thanks Jade, Dario and others. Very good lunch as always. You need to be prepared to do your own navigating under water but both times the anchor chain took us straight to the cave entry and you can just explore from there with beautiful overhangs, caves, wide crevasse / gully features in the reef and superb soft coral, fish, sharks, rays and crays to view. Deep dive trips can go to a variety of sites depending on conditions. Shark cave is around 25m max depth but there are some just over 30m so Nitrox has it's benefits. It's a spectacular place to dive and Blue destiny is a great way to get there.
Went on a deep dive charter to shark Cave. Great dive where we saw sharks, whales and a turtle. I only saw the sharks. I spent my whole time in the cave where there were 4 Grey Nurse coming and going. Only downside was diving with 25 others. Never-the-less the sharks seem unphased by the large number of divers. The upside was the boat catered so well for this large number and it was not too full with an upstairs deck which meant there was plenty of space. The food was phenomenal.....the best I've ever had anywhere in the world after a day dive! The staff were lovely and competent, and just the right amount of care. It would rate as the best dive I have had in Perth. I'll definitely dive with Blue Destiny Again.
Awesome day out with Destiny - great food, helpful friendly staff, big comfy boat and fantastic dive site. Highly recommended!
