It was stunning to see the David before too many visitors were in the museum. The sculpture is so perfect and so perfectly displayed that it is jaw dropping. But, do note: you will not be in the museum before the public is allowed in. The museum opens at 8:15 and you will be first in line. But the public will come in. The guide, Barbara (nicknamed Bobbi), was great at ushering me in faster than the public. But they did come in. And just to note: It was great to be in the museum in January because the crowds were limited.

The David statue tour was absolutely incredible! Our guide Monica was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, so friendly and got us right to David before the large crowds arrived — her passion for art and history really brought Michelangelo’s masterpiece to life. She shared fascinating details and stories we had never heard before, making the experience both educational and enjoyable.
