View on Google MapsLoved this tour with Larisa. We booked the semi private tour and it ended up being just the four of us. She had a lot of helpful background and we had an interactive experience. There was a long line at the ufizzi gallery, even with the skip the line tickets, but she didn’t cut our time short, which was appreciated. All in all, a nice day to experience the highlights of the city.
Annette was great! We had her all to ourselves even tough we booked a small group tour! Very knowledgeable about the city, the history and the art
Eleanor was our guide. She was great! Our tour ended up being just the two of us because the other couple did not arrive. We went to Accademia first and hit all the highlights, focusing on Michelangelo and his sculpting. Elenanor also works with University students, so she had a very artistic view of all these works of art. We then strolled through Florence to Uffizi. She took us to areas we had not yet seen or learned about and provided a rich history of the area. There is a break for a cafe, if you want, and a break for a quick lunch. Then we spent quite a bit of time in the Uffizi. She took us to all the highlights on the 4th floor, highlighting the famous artists: Michelangelo, Leonardo, Rafael. She also pointed out so much history of the museum and details to notice. We ended the tour in the Uffizi with her, with some top gelato recommendations, and continued on to enjoy the rest of the museum on our own. Highly recommend this tour with Eleanor!
Visiting Florence with Babylon Tours was an enchanting experience! Our guide, Annette Morkholt, was not just knowledgeable; she was a great guide with a captivating passion for the city's art and history. Her courteous demeanor made every discussion intriguing. I left with vivid memories and an uplifting sense of connection to Florence. If you want a deeper understanding of this beautiful city, look no further!
Annette was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and also kind. I’m sure that I would have spent about 5 seconds on many of the paintings but she explained the art and linked artists, their time periods, and their influences. We did the David and city tour, then we broke for an hour to have lunch, and then we did the Uffizi. I highly recommend this tour and Annette! I purposely chose a tour with a maximum of 8 people and we only had 4 in the AM and 2 in the PM. Way better than the giant tour groups!
Expensive. But the tour guide did an outstanding job and the tour content was very interesting & enjoyable. So overall, we felt that it was worth the money paid.
Francesco was awesome. He was so knowledgeable on every topic from the city and culture to the art and sculptures. It was a very in depth tour - he told us important historical anecdotes as well as important insights into the deeper meaning of the art pieces. He had a great sense of humor and we had a great time!
Our guided tour of Florence with Eleonora was a wonderful experience. Despite the city being busy, it exceeded our expectations. Eleonora was an amazing guide - incredibly knowledgeable about all the sites and art, and skilled at making the information relatable for our children. She was also flexible when we stopped for food or souvenirs. It was incredibly hot, and she was very mindful of our comfort. We would absolutely recommend this tour.
Annette was a fabulous guide. She provided us with just the right amount of information to make our trip to Florence so special. She even provided a wonderful lunch recommendation for between our two tours! The tour size was perfect as well. It was just like traveling with a couple of friends.
Wonderful way to learn a little about Florence in a fun and enjoyable way. Our guide, Annette, was amazing and the small group made it feel like we were simply traveling with our friends.
