View on Google MapsWe greatly enjoyed our experience! Our guide shared with us several information about cork harvesting and local agriculture. The hike allows you to observe a typical landscape of the Alentejo. We highly recommend!
Our tour was booked well in advance as a walking tour. But thanks to uncooperative weather walking was not possible. We met at Corktrekking as per plan, but heavy rain and winds made it clear that we weren’t walking anywhere. Our guide (sorry we don’t recall your name) saved the situation. He was full of information which he readily shared. It was fascinating to learn about agriculture and the pressures they face. Obrigada!
This was a walk to one very old Cork Tree thru areas of Holm trees mixed with Cork trees. We enjoyed our Guides very much.

Certo, our guide was excellent. Great information on cork and its harvesting. Thoroughly enjoyable. Thanks, Certo!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our Cork Tour with Celino. We not only learned about cork farming but also about the vineyards and local agriculture. The tour was a lot of fun and we would recommend it to our friends. Thanks so much!
Daniel was a great guide - He was really knowledgeable and answered all of our questions about cork, Portugal, the surrounding region, and more. He was also very attentive and made sure we left with great local recommendations. The walk through the cork forest itself was lovely, with some nice views of the countryside and a nice companion dog to boot. If you’re truly interested in a tranquil, thoughtful walk packed with information — both scientific and otherwise — then this is a great local option.
What a total rip off. Whilst it is easy to criticise, this so-called tour is a total joke. My advice is to stop alongside cork trees and watch a video showing how cork is extracted. Hang you heads in shame
This tour was an amazing way to see the oak cork trees up close and learn about the cork industry and harvest. Chantel was very knowledgeable and informative. We had a great time!
Great Day and great information from Chantel. We loved the wines so much that we bought 4 bottles. The cork trees are so amazing and resilient. And we are now experts on cork trees!!!
Disappointing. The woman who served us was stupid and uneducated. He gave us the information that it was necessary to make an appointment and sent us on our way. Terrible treatment of the public. It's difficult to understand how a place, with a person serving you in this way, is a travelers choice. Unthinkable DON'T GO THERE!
