View on Google MapsJimmy is an excellent tour guide. He’s very friendly and knowledgeable about Scottish history. We enjoyed visiting several castles and the Kelpies statues, but the highlight was seeing the majestic beauty of the highlands and the three sisters of Glencoe. Because it was Boxing Day, all the castles were closed, but Jimmy showed us what he could. Jimmy picked us up at 7:30 am and drove us around for 11 hours. He had variety of snacks for us in the car, and he stopped twice for a chance to buy a sandwich or use the toilet. I appreciated that he kept us in a tight schedule, which allowed us to get to the highlands just before sunset. Since it was wintertime, sunset was around 3:45 pm. We got back to Edinburgh around 7:00 pm. It was an excellent day trip, I would recommend this tour to other travelers.
Jamie was unable to host the tour, but communication was fab and he hooked us up with Andy who was amazing! Would book again!!!
This was the best tour we took in Scotland! Jimmy made our experience fun throughout the entire day. He provided interesting history and went over and above to make or trip unforgettable. Throughout many travels and many tours Jimmy was the best most entertaining guide we have ever had. The highlands were spectacular as were the other attractions along the way. My daughter and I had a wonderful time with Jimmy. He is fun, personable and knowledgeable. We learned a lot! We packed in so many experiences, from Linlithgow Palace, the Kelpies, Sterling Castle, Falls of Dochart, The Three Sisters, and a delicious dinner in Glencoe. There were lots of nice surprises from Jimmy, a taste of delicious smoked cheese, taking fun photos of us, and some delicious whiskey at the Three sisters. I highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Scotland. Thank you Jimmy for making our trip so special.

An absolutely highlight of our trip! Jimmy was incredible, we ended up on a private tour with him, he’s an excellent driver, kept us stocked with water and snacks, always asked about bathroom breaks, and gave us great history and answered all our questions. He even surprised us with a glass of whiskey after dinner at our last stop (the three sisters I’ll attach a photo if I can). By the end we felt like we had made a new friend! Thank you Jimmy!!
Highly recommend this tour with Jimmy. He was such a good time and a great laugh. He was very knowledgeable about Highland history. Plan on getting cozy if you are on the tour with another couple but would absolutely do it again.
We had an absolutely fantastic time being taken on a tour of the Highlands by Jimmy! His energy was infectious and we had an incredible time with him. The tour with Jimmy was a really good balance of learning about Scottish history and culture as well as having a good time and enjoying some laughs. The Kelpies were stunning. Stirling Castle was a really great historical site to visit. We got to visit and feed some adorable cows then see different aspects of nature in the area. Everything was incredible. If you're looking for a tour where you get to have a personal connection with the tour guide instead of getting caught up in a large crowd, we couldn't recommend Jimmy enough. My wife and I haven't stopped talking about our tour since we finished it. Thanks Jimmy! You're a legend. :D
Jimmie was a very pleasant and knowledgeable host. He was very accommodating with bathroom stops etc. Water and snacks were provided as well as a nip of scotch which we declined (not whiskey fans). The vehicle was pristine and very comfortable. It was a long day but definitely worth seeing the Highlands. We would definitely recommend. As a side note, we brought a to go coffee and light breakfast to enjoy on the ride out if you don’t want to eat before departure. The lunch/dinner stop was authentic Scottish pub fare. Quite nice.
This is a MUST DO when visiting Edinburgh. There are no words to describe Jimmy, he is simply the best possible human to lead this trip. He picked us up at our Airbnb in downtown Edinburgh and took us to 9 amazing spots during our day tour - a few castles, the oldest distillery in Scotland, the breathtaking Three Sisters in Glencoe, and more. He entertained us the whole day with jokes, conversation, snacks, and drinks then brought us back to our front door.
