Durban, South Africa
View on Google MapsWe were greeted by our guide who is dressed in Zulu tribal attire. They educated us about the life of the Zulu people through crafts, drumming, weapons, song and dance.
This+ was a fun experience visiting a typical Zulu village. We saw native dances, craft making and truly saw the daily life of a Zulu settlement. It is all done in fun to get a feeling of their daily routine. However, I could not help but feel that after we left, the villagers got into their cars and went to their modern houses. But, it a place not to be missed.
Freddy picked us up from the hotel at 6:30 am and our journey started with a very interesting conversation about South African culture. He was a great conversation partner. The safari tour was great. We've seen many zebras, impalas, giraffes, rhinos, buffalos, elephants, and baboons. No lions nor leopards, but apparently they are hard to catch. Freddy tried up until the last minute to catch a glimpse of them. Would definitely recommend this tour based on our experience with Zulu Safaris.

Just visited the NEW Dumazulu Cultural Village after it was burned down. Oh my golly how fabulous now is the dining area, bar and boma. Food was excellent, enjoyed the dancing with the Zulus. The owners and management have put a great deal of effort into this venue and is worth a visit. Maintenance of the accommodation needs a little more TLC however. Game drive into the park was fabulous and the African guide who took us was very informative. Saw 4 of the big 5 and loved it.
