View on Google MapsBest experience ever. Our trip was executed perfectly by Sukia- all transportation was right on time, accommodations were very nice, communication was excellent before and during trip and the guides were very passionate and knowledgeable on all of our tours! I would recommend this family tour for older kids as there is a lot of hiking and activity involved.. We enjoyed all of it and learned so much too! This was definitely the way to go!
Where do I begin? I wanted to take our 8 year old son on a wildlife adventure and Sukia did not disappoint. This was our first trip to Costa Rica and our guides really showed us what an amazing place this really is. Emilio was our guide for our three tours (night, full day Corcovado, and canyoning.) He was everything you want in a guide and more: teaching us all about every animal, so many plants, and our harmony with nature. Our son easily knows many bird and monkey calls now thanks to Emilio’s knowledge. Above all, Emilio always made us feel safe with his extensive experience and certifications. He truly is a treasure of a human being. The founder of the company, David, always made sure we were taken care of, responding to all of my questions and clarifications at all hours of the day. He even threw my husband a little bday party when returning from a tour. Now to the tours: they are excellent and we experienced and saw more than I ever could have expected; something I think something I have to credit Sukia with. The night tour was great for our son, and it was so fun to prowl around in the forest finding tons of bugs and frogs. The full day Corcovado tour was a trek. It is a full day of hiking and boating and hiking again. We saw so many animals and learned so much with Emilio; spotting monkeys, birds, sloths, etc. The canyoning day was a real adventure. I was so grateful that Emilio was joined by Chavi(?) who was also so fun and really took care of our son (and me let’s be honest because I didn’t know canyoning encompassed repelling until the day before but that’s my fault.) That being said I think that’s when these guides became my heroes because they knew what they were doing and I felt safe not only for me but for my son. Again, it was another beautiful and eye opening experience that we will cherish forever. Tomorrow we will head out on the boat and tour the mangroves; with so much more of an appreciation and understanding of the beauty this world has to offer… Pura vida. PS if you’ve made it this far, make sure you take the clothing seriously. Dri-fit pants are a must as well as lots of clean socks and COMFY hiking shoes that can handle water. Also, if you mainly walk and hike in flat areas like where I’m from, I’d suggest doing squats for the weeks following up ;)

We, my sister and I, enjoyed this tour. From 1. Excursion, the night tour, to the 2nd the national park, 3rd the snorkeling and 4th the Mangrowen tour, it was wonderful, the guides all had a profound knowledge and were excited to show interested people everything. We were lucky enough to visit the national park with Emilio and he showed us everything with so much joy, while actually seeing so many animals, all. what we only dreamed of at home. Thanks, thanks to everyone from the whole Sukia team. We are still dreaming, repetition not ruled out , Greetings Daniela and Monika 🤗
Just Amazing! We had a fantastic guide, Andre, that opened our senses to the Nature. We Think we left a piece of our heart in Corcovado. Sukia Travel took Care of everything, we had only good experiences and Can recommend Them highly. Søren and Lene Denmark
Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids ages 8 and 10) did the 4-day Drake Bay Wildlife Tour with Sukia Travel and had an amazing experience. This is a company that cares deeply about their customers and about providing authentic, sustainable experiences. We had the most excellent guides (Andre, Emilio, and Eduardo), fantastic communication with Estefanie before and during the trip, and skilled boat captains. They really took care of us and were great with our children. Every aspect of the trip -- excursions, guides, accommodations, food, communication -- was well done. We are usually more DIY travelers but are so glad we opted to do this tour with Sukia. We highly recommend them and would book with them again in a heartbeat.
Trips don’t get any better than this. We had the most amazing time with the expert guidance from David, Eduardo and the team from Sukia. Corcovado is incredible, like being in a zoo without the walls! We saw so much wildlife and so close. Sloths, Tapir, Ant Eaters, snakes, Toucans and endless other animals, insects, reptiles and birds - in fact nearly 70 in total. Our guides could not have done more to make this an experience we’ll never forget. Their ability to spot wildlife is unbelievable- and their passion and knowledge about the jungle, ecosystem and its inhabitants was amazing. So glad we did our research and chose these guys.
This tour package was such a highlight for me. The team were lovely, hospitable, friendly & very helpful. They were very organized but also able to adapt to our hectic schedule & change things to suit our needs. The tours were amazing - caño island was such a treat, and Corcovado National Park was incredible! We had our Corcovado tour with Eduardo. He was funny, showed us some amazing animals & plants, and was very knowledgeable. We managed to see a porcupine, Tapir, and 3 out of 4 species of monkey in Costa Rica, including the endangered squirrel monkeys! And Charlie, our river tour guide, was also extremely knowledgeable & had such an eye for detail & spotting animals. And Sergio was our night tour guide - again, really knowledgeable & managed to even show us the poison dart frog and a snake! Anyway, in summary, I highly recommend these guys. You can tell how much passion & love they have foe doing this. Also shout out to Estafanie & David for being so hospitable & helpful. Such an amazing package with a great bunch of people.
The adventures with Sukia travel were once-in-a-lifetime experiences. We saw a puma, a fer-de-lance, jumped off cliffs and saw more wildlife than I imagined possible. Sukia did a great job of taking care of us once we were there but we definitely could have used a much more detailed itinerary and packing list ahead of time. If you book this trip, email them to ask for as many specific details as possible (meals, transportation, packing list, air conditioning at accommodations). Bring hiking boots, a dry bag and expect everything to get drenched and not dry out. Canyoning was the most physically demanding activity we did. We were told this tour was ok for our 6 year old but with the heavy rains and currents, she was definitely too young for this. Would recommend for kids 8+.
I think 5 stars is feels like underrating. I had fantastic time in Osa peninsula thanks to great guides from Sukia. The snorkeling tour was one of the best trips in my life. I also appreciate the mission of the company focused on eco and sustainable tourism.
The accommodations were excellent with lovely breakfast on site pre-ordered the day before. All the guides were amazing, well informed and patient with all of the family's needs and we saw more than expected with a remarkable array of plants and animals that far exceeded expectations. The boat captains were very skilled and punctual and the boats well appointed. It was really special to meet the owner and have dinner with him the first night and hear more about what the company is trying (and succeeding! ) at accomplishing in the area. The night hike showed us the small and translucent creatures and gave us an in depth view into some of the incredible diversity and the other tours showed us under the water and into the forest and mangroves. Truly a special and full four days!
