Zum Aquarium 1, 46047 Oberhausen, Germany
View on Google MapsSEA LIFE is located right on the Westfield Centro, one of Europe's largest shopping and leisure centres, and is easily accessible by car and public transport. Free parking is available in Centro car park 3 or 4. By public transport you can get to SEA-Life From Oberhausen Central Station bus to Neue Mitte stop, then about 10–15 minutes on foot. The SEA LIFE Oberhausen is one of the largest aquariums in Germany with over 5,000 marine animals in more than 50 themed pools on around 4,000 m2 of exhibition space. Large underwater tunnel pool – sharks and rays swim above and around you. SEA-Life in Oberhausen is Germany's largest shark breeding station with 148 m2 of shallow water. There are themed zones in SEA-Life Oberhausen such as Amazon, mangroves, seahorses, otter forest and much more. The feeding of the animals is also very interesting. The staff was very nice and friendly as well as helpful. An entrance fee is also charged. Credit card payment is also possible. However, the price policy has been a bit weird for me. Severely disabled people receive a discount of only 3 euros, but their accompanying persons come to the Aqarium free of charge. The normal entrance fee was 20 euros on the day of my visit. Normally, severely disabled people would have to get a greatly reduced discount. Accompanying persons would actually have to pay in full, especially since not every severely disabled person needs an accompanying person. It's worth a visit. Highly recommended. When visiting, you should allow at least 2 hours. A visit is definitely worthwhile and guarantees fun for young and old.

Just great. Incredibly family friendly. My little one loved it and so did we. We like to go there several times a year as it was a totally relaxed and beautiful family trip.
We had booked an extra tour and that was really worth it. The planned time to be there an hour earlier was not quite enough for me and my daughter, so I would allow about half an hour extra time. Then it would have been more relaxed for us. Unfortunately, we could not name everything that was in the pools, too, as the information about it was not there. I would have liked that, but overall a great trip with a nice team on site. We were there during the week, on a Saturday we didn’t even make it to the Centro, so I recommend a weekday excursion if you like it relaxed.
Very well maintained and clean very nice staff and the exhibition was super self-explanatory we have always been fans and remain so.
Unfortunately, in my view, SeaLife is pretty much designed to maximize profits. I was there with my 31⁄2-year-old daughter. We had bought tickets online in advance. I find it cheeky that my daughter has to pay the same price (and that from 2 years) we a 14-year-old child. Older children have a very different experience due to the many explanation boards than smaller children. In addition, a cheekiness that the child price is almost equal to the adult price. So an adult with a child pays almost 50€. In addition, the "photo package" costs 3.50€ per person and includes that you get digitally retrievable photos from a selfie station (no printed image!). In addition, the Otter world was closed, and there was no price adjustment for this either. All in all, I think it is a great pity, here you should urgently do something about the price structure.
I bought a combo ticket for Legoland and SeaLife and I have to say it was money well spent. SeaLife Oberhausen is magnificent and beautiful. Until today, I considered the Oceanarium in Blijdorp in the Netherlands to be the most beautiful, but after visiting Oberhausen, there can only be one winner! SeaLife is wonderful and very impressive. This place deserves 10 stars, not 5!
Excursion with grandchildren was great. Had paid for photo on the Internet, ticket was not enough at the photo machine, would have needed additional receipt, was not mentioned at the cash desk.
It was a great trip. Everything is lovingly designed and the animals also look satisfied. Everything is very clean and well maintained. It's always an experience.
It was very impressive to see the large fish and also other marine animals. We like to come back to you as a family.
Many diversity of marine animals, beautiful view of the aquariums, well-cooled rooms during sweltering days, cheap entrance fee
