View on Google MapsWow! What an adventure! Jose and the rest of the crew were simply amazing! They made every minute wonderful! The hike is tough but they make you know you can keep going! Extremely knowledgeable even with all my questions about the history of the Incas. The food every meal was spectacular from Chef Daniel!! Still don’t know how you make a cake while camping! I highly recommend this group. If you’ve been looking around and researching, look no further…I saw many groups on my hike, and I knew I was experiencing the best of the best!
I joined the 4-day / 3-night Inca Trail expecting an incredible hike and breathtaking views. What I didn’t expect was how deeply human this experience would feel. The trail itself is stunning — ancient stone paths, misty mountains, changing weather, and the quiet power of history under your feet. Machu Picchu at the end is, of course, unforgettable. But for me, the most meaningful part wasn’t just the destination. It was the people. Our guide was knowledgeable, patient, and deeply respectful of the land and its history. He didn’t just explain the Inca civilization — he helped us feel connected to it. And the porters… I honestly don’t have enough words. Their strength, kindness, and quiet smiles made every day lighter. They worked incredibly hard, yet always made us feel cared for. I’ve been traveling solo for a long time, and somewhere along this trail, sharing meals, stories, laughter, and tired legs, I felt something I hadn’t felt in a long while — a sense of family. Eating together after long days, checking in on each other, celebrating small moments… it felt like home, even though we all came from different parts of the world. This trek gave me more than memories and photos. It reminded me how powerful simple human connection can be. If you’re considering the Inca Trail, know this: Yes, it’s physically demanding. Yes, it’s iconic. But if you allow yourself to be present, it might also give you something far deeper than you expect. I’ll carry this experience with me for a very long time.
I just returned from an epic 4-day Inca Trail hike with Trexperience, and it was unforgettable! The logistics were seamless from Cusco, letting us immerse in stunning Andean views, ancient ruins, and challenging paths. Our guide, Edi de Puma, was fantastic—passionate about Incan history, flora, and fauna, keeping spirits high. His evening flute sessions under the stars added a cultural touch that was pure serenity. Edi, you're a legend! Chef Alejandro blew us away with gourmet Peruvian meals and even baking a cake at high altitude—all hearty and diet-friendly. The porters were heroes, hauling gear efficiently with smiles, sharing their traditions for a deeper experience. Trexperience excels in organization and sustainability—it's more than a hike, it's inspiring. 5 stars! Thanks to Edi, Alejandro, the porters, and crew for lifelong memories.
Listen. If you are on the fence- book this tour. It was perfect. Frank was the most knowledgeable guide we could have asked for. His assistant David was helpful, kind, and also very knowledgeable. They answered exactly one million questions every single day. Birds? Flowers? Mountain names? Inca History? They knew every single thing. David saved bird calls and pictures on his phone JUST IN CASE we had questions. The food? Perfect. The showers? Warm. The bedding was cozy even at the highest elevation. The porters were lovely. Zero complaints. 10/10. Spend the extra it costs for the luxury tour- just to have these fantastic guides and all of their knowledge on hand. It made our once in a lifetime experience absolutely perfect.
Seeing Machu Picchu had been a dream of mine since I was a small child, so I feel incredibly privileged to have shared this experience with my husband for our 10th anniversary and to have been guided by everyone on the TreXperience team! We chose the Luxury Inca Trail 5 days to Machu Picchu: trekking the Inca Trail in 4 days, saying goodbye to almost everyone on Day 4, then spending a night in a hotel in Aguas Calientas, and concluding our journey by spending Day 5 (our actual anniversary) touring Machu Picchu with our guide, Cesar. From the start, our in-office contact, Gabriela Conde, was nothing but kind and accommodating while communicating clearly with what was expected of us and what we could expect out of this journey. Gabriela mentioned that we would have 14 porters, which was a shock... until we were on the mountain and we saw just how much work was involved in moving us from campsite to campsite each day. For some reason, we had thought that there were dedicated campsites for TreXperience, but no... The team of 14 mostly from Lares, led by Head Porter, Alejandro, literally moved our lives for us, keeping us safe and in luxurious comfort. We had an incredible chef, Lucio, and sous chef, Jaime, who created delicious breakfasts, lunches, tea times, and dinners for us... an unbelievable feat!! To our delight, every meal was completely different, delicious, and included traditional Peruvian cuisine. There was almost TOO MUCH food for us, which we were so grateful for! Additionally, somehow, Lucio baked us a cake for our anniversary on Day 4. Hooooowwwww did they manage this magic?? We're still speechless! We had a masseuse who came with us; Alicia was a shining star of happiness who helped us relax at the end of each day. Without her, we would have been piles of aching muscles!! Last but not least, we were with our lovely guide, Cesar, throughout the entire journey, and assistant guide, Wilbert, who left us at the end of Day 4. Cesar was wonderful storyteller, leading the way, making us laugh, and specially pointing out the different orchids growing on the mountains for me simply because I briefly mentioned that my best friend is obsessed with orchids. So thoughtful! Wilbert was sweet and kind, patient, and genuinely caring throughout the trek. We were thrilled with TreXperience and the lovely group who supported us along the way: Gabriela Conde, Travel Specialist Cesar, Guide Wilbert, Assistant Guide Alejandro, Head Porter Alicia, Masseuse Lucio, Chef Jaime, Sous Chef The team of 14 porters, mostly from the town of Lares
After my trip to Peru with my family I am feeling incredibly grateful to have found Willian and his tour group. Their attention to detail, care, and support was unmatched. We knew we were in great hands. For our 4 day trek, we were able to make memories for a lifetime all thanks to them.
It’s hard to put into words how extraordinary our luxury Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu truly was. From the moment we were met in Cusco by our guides and support team, we knew this was going to be something special, not just a hike, but a deeply moving, flawlessly orchestrated journey through history, nature, and culture. Every detail had been thought of. Our guides were knowledgeable, full of warmth and humor, weaving stories of Incan engineering, ancient rituals, and mountain legends into each day’s trek. They had a sense for when to pause for photos, when to rest, and when to simply stand in silence as the clouds rolled across the Andes. The staff, the team of porters, chefs, and support crew were nothing short of heroic. Somehow, while we hiked with light packs, they would race ahead to set up an immaculate campsite! Reaching Machu Picchu on the final day felt like the culmination of something much greater than a hike, it was a pilgrimage. Our guides secured the perfect timing to enter through the Sun Gate just as the first light hit the citadel. This journey exceeded every expectation of comfort, care, and connection. The professionalism and heart of every guide, porter, chef, and organizer turned a challenging trek into an unforgettable, soul-stirring experience. If you’re dreaming of the Inca Trail and want to do it in absolute style and comfort, this is the team to trust.
This has been the best of the high altitude hikes that I have done not just because of the scenery, but because of the team that took care of us. Frank and his team of guides, chefs and porters took care of all of our needs.
This is an amazing way to experience the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu. TreXperience took care of all of the details, and we had a wonderful group of porters, guides (Fernando, Lourdes, Ephraim, Wilbur, and William) and an incredible chef, Julio. Most importantly, the lead guide Roger Calsin really took care of us- waited patiently, pointed out so many things that we would have missed, and spent a lot of time teaching about the Inca culture. He also was our guide for the Cusco city tour, the Sacred Valley tour, and Rainbow Mountain, and really made our week special.
Amazing adventure! Amazing history! Amazing beauty! And, most of all, amazing guide and support staff! Roger was our fearless leader on the Inca Trail and visits to the Sacred Valley and Rainbow Mountain. He is so knowledgeable about the history of the area, the Inca culture and all things nature. Clearly passionate about his work. He is patient, and knows just when to step in to offer support and when to give space. His great sense of humor kept our spirits buoyed even during the challenges including rain and snow(!). The support of the other guides and porters was wonderful too. Everyone made what was surely extremely challenging look easy and seamless (a luxury glamping trip in difficult terrain!). Julio is an amazing chef! Delicious, gourmet, traditional food at every meal! If you are considering the luxury trip, you won’t be disappointed. Can’t recommend Roger and his team at TreXperience highly enough.
