We had a private tour with Norwegian/French Erik who spoke Norwegian with us. We got a good introduction to the company’s history, development and actuality. Erik a knowledgeable, funny and a super guide. We understood that Braastad is constantly in development but that they keep on with the entire production process even now and in the future. Really worth the time and money, can be recommended.
The place, the ambience, and the attitude of Eric made the tour something special. We visited all the key part of the facilities and were walked through the whole process while hearing anecdotes and interesting facts about the region and the making of cognac.
Eric, the Braastad guide, presented an engaging story about the distillery and its products. He patiently answered all of our questions (we had a lot!) and was generous in introducing us to the cognacs at the end of the tour.
This was an amazing experience for us, who knew absolutely nothing about cognac. The tour of the buildings and distillery was extremely interesting as was learning about the history of the beautiful building, cognac itself and the family who built this enterprise. Eric was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions (there were lots!) and shared so much information with us. We were very lucky to have him to ourselves and he was just so friendly and accommodating. Can’t recommend him highly enough - a great guide!
Had a fantastic tour here with Eric. He was very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. He showed and explained the process of cognac making and tasting very well. Really enjoyed the visit and would highly recommend it to every one. Oh! And the cognac was delicious!!
Nous avons effectué la visite prestige avec les dégustations. Nous avons passé un moment fabuleux. Erik, notre guide, est passionné et passionnant. Nous avons appris énormément de choses sur la fabrication du cognac des champs à la bouteille ainsi que l’histoire globale du cognac et celle de la maison. La distillerie est magnifique et très impressionnante c’est également un vrai plus d’y avoir accès. J’appréhendais quelque peu la dégustation n’étant pas une grande fane d’eaux de vie de base mais j’ai été agréablement surprise. J’ai énormément apprécié les différents produits et je suis même repartie avec certains d’entre eux. Un grand merci pour ce très beau souvenir en famille !
Really interesting tour with a good balance of educational and entertainment aspects. Generous tasting at the end. English speaking tour and Eric spoke well. His prior knowledge of other cognac houses also helps elaborate on differences in practice. Great tour as can see process end to end as they distill on site - not the norm on most cognac tours. PS. The cognac tasted good too. My fave was the Braastad Extra and my wife’s was the Tiffon XO. Booked through GetYourGuide but seems cheaper via TripAdvisor.
