View on Google MapsOur guide Lesley wasn’t just knowledgeable—she was emotionally connected to the city. She told us childhood stories, taught us local slang, and even showed us how she orders hotpot with friends. The route itself was beautifully planned. The Taoist cave temple felt secretive and sacred. The walk was gentle and scenic. And dinner was the grand finale. This tour didn’t just show us the sites, it brought us into them.
Such a good trip, We just stayed two days in Chongqing and booked this trip for first day. The itinerary is good and we all love our guide Lesley! And enjoyed the dinner a lot! Best for those travelers who don't want any other fees like me.
We booked several tours in different cities across China, and every service was truly excellent. In Chongqing, we had the pleasure of meeting Lesley—she was so attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly with our entire family. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between sightseeing, cultural discovery, and tasty local hotpot. The kids loved exploring hidden temples and my parents still talks about the views! Thank you, CET, for a lovely trip and wonderful memories in China. Highly recommended for families!

It’s a long day, but well worth it. You get to see and taste the real Chongqing—especially with a local guide. And it's great for solo travelers like me! I made new friends over dinner and learned a few phrases in Chongqing dialect.
I did this tour with two of my college friends while traveling through southwest China, and we’re still talking about it weeks later. The temple visit and trail walk were beautiful, but what made this day unforgettable was the hotpot at the end. It wasn’t just a meal—it was an experience. Our guide explained the ingredients, showed us how to mix our sauces like locals, and made sure everyone had a spice level they could handle (or test their limits, in my case 😅). We laughed so much over dinner—it was the kind of bonding moment you just can’t get in a fast-paced, generic tour. This one had soul.
My girlfriend and I booked this Chongqing day tour as part of our China honeymoon—and it turned out to be one of our favorite days. The Taoist cave temple was peaceful and otherworldly, and we loved how our guide explained the symbolism behind the rituals without overwhelming us. The ancient trail walk gave us some beautiful views (and time to just talk quietly). Then came the hotpot dinner—what an unforgettable experience! We got to try different spice levels, and the guide even showed us how to mix sauces like locals! We came for sightseeing, but left with so much more—stories, flavors, and a new appreciation for Chinese culture.
