View on Google MapsThe wineries were small family run wineries, which made for a personal visit. The wines were excellent, and the allotted time at each winery was about right.
Nadia was a great host. Allessandro and Barbara made the day exceptional at our winery tours and tastings. Barbara's lunvh was delicious, including the treat of preserves made ny her mother
The area surrounding Montalcino and the town itself are beautiful. There are 250 or so wineries in the area and Brunello wine is a favorite of mine 🥰

Wonderful tour. Nadia was very knowledgeable and friendly and selected two beautiful and very different wineries. She was even helpful with parking nearby. Highly highly recommend this trip!!
Great tour! We visited two vineyards and had an amazing time. We were able to try multiple wines (mostly Rosso and Brunello), and had a light lunch at the first vineyard. Transportation was key as this is challenging to organize in Montalcino unless you have a car.
We had a wonderful day on our wine tour with Nadia. We wanted to experience a variety of the wine Italy has to offer so we went to both Montepulciano and Monticchiello wineries, and we stopped for a nice lunch along the way. Nadia is very knowledgeable about the wines in this region. And she shipped the wine we collected throughout the day back home for us! If I were to change anything, I may instead do two half day wine tours…8-9 of wine is a lot!
I booked the 1/2 day tour with the optional farmhouse lunch via email with Nadia. I was concerned about including my credit card information in an email so we agreed that we would do a combination of fax and email. In the end it all worked out, but it would be better to be able to book these tours on a secured website. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We did not stay within the distance to be picked up so we drove to the meeting spot in montalcino. Only issue we had was not having small denomination of euros for the parking meter. My husband had to go find the post office. We went to 2 vineyards for tours. The first one was a very basic tour with little commentation by the young woman giving the tour. She also didn't tell us very much about the wines we were tasting. We didn't buy any wine here. The next vineyard was fantastic! The tour was given by the winemaker who was also a sommelier. He was very knowledgable about every aspect of the process. We tasted a couple of wines which were rosso di montalcino and brunellos. He went through each wine with us and we discussed the taste. We had a mixed case shipped to our home in the U.S. thoroughly enjoyed that tour and the wine. My husband and I added the optional lunch at the farmhouse. We were the only two (out of our tour of four people) who did this. It was a bit awkward being the only 2 being served in someone's house, but they really served us and left us alone. The food was delicious and they also served a rosso and a brunello with the different courses. Highly recommend this tour and add the lunch!

We visited two wineries. One was in the house of the owner of the Vineyard. We were lucky enough to get a taste not only the Brunello wine but if his olive oil and jam!

The second tour was in an old Castle. So romantic! Loved the wine and the stories. I look forward to returning.

This was the third time we enjoyed this Day tour. This time we visited 4 new and different wineries around in Montalcino. We have now visited more than 10 vineyards over the years, and each has a different story to tell. You meet the people behind the dream and the very hard work. You see their pride, you hear their stories and you get the respect for what is behind the good wine from Montalcino. Every time is a new experience, every time you understand a little bit more and every time the respect for this craftsmanship increases. Every time I enjoy a Brunello I think of the people behind it. We will be back - keep up this wonderful offering!
We did this tour again this year, excited as we were last year (see review below). This year it was a more set route - we visited 2 vineyards before lunch and 2 vineyards after lunch. Surprisingly, we were only 4 people on the tour this day, but that meant that we got to know each other and had a good time together. Because of vacation period, the two vineyards before lunch were substituted with 2 others - fortunately for us since we had visited these two last year and got the chance to meet the people at these farms again. After lunch we visited two new vineyards - both very nice. The good things with the BWB (Brunello Wine Bus) is that you get a chance to meet the people behind the fantastic Brunello produce. You hear the story, see the passion, learn the "secrets" of good wine making. We will be back next year!
