View on Google MapsVery informative tour. Our Guide was very friendly and knowledgable. She clearly knew her subject well. Anyone considering this tour should ideally avoid the winter months as there is a fair amount of standing still while the guide explains the history of Chester. We went on a chilly day in January and were quite cold at the end of the one and a half hour tour. If you choose a winter month wear warm clothing!!
Very informative tour. Caroline was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, sharing both fascinating historical context and insight into what’s up-and-coming. You could really tell she knew the place inside out, which made the experience worthwhile.
Excellent tour with Caroline who was very knowledgeable and friend..,took to many locations and made each stop interesting..thanks for a great tour
From first meeting Caroline to our departure at the end of our guided walk Caroline was welcoming, friendly and considerate. Despite the very cold weather Caroline provided a warm, informative and insightful commentary whilst providing intimate details of the locality and many points of social and historical interest. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and took up Caroline's recommendation on tea and scones at The Chester Grosvenor's brasserie as well as purchasing a cigar from Turmeaus cigar and whisky specialist shop. A highly recommended and value for money experience. Keith and Sue (Nottingham)
It’s good. Lots of historic info from the Romans onwards. Respect for the city of Chester and its heritage.
Caroline’s knowledge of Chester’s history was evident as was her interest in and enthusiasm for the City and its past. It made for a fascinating and enjoyable walk.
My wife and I attended the Heart of Chester guided walk with Caroline. The walking tour was conducted at an appropriate pace and the size of the group was just right. Caroline was very informative explaining both the history and important sites of the city. I would thoroughly recommend this walking tour. Thank you Caroline
The guide Phil Bailey was extremely knowledgeable and had access to places you wouldn't normally see, well worth doing.
My husband and I attended the Heart of Chester guided walk with Caroline. The whole tour was excellent and Caroline explained and added context to the history of Chester throughout the ages and showed us both significant but also lesser known sights. Fabulous thank you Caroline 😊
