The welcome was very good and the experience was really immersive. The host and calligrapher are really very generous, we had a great time and we are also distributed with small gifts.. Noted that the place of the course is in a very nice guest house, very well located and which hides a beautiful history. I would not hesitate to stay with the host if I returned to Chefchaouen I recommend 100% 🤩

This traditional calligraphy class in Chefchaouen was an unexpected highlight of our trip to Morocco. Mourad invited us into his family home, his family served tea, and we had took the class on a beautiful rooftop overlooking the blue city. The instructor was a skilled Arabic artist who was very patient as he taught us the Moroccan and Turkish styles of calligraphy. We practiced individual letters, then our full names, were able to take home the writings and the carved pen. I’m so impressed by the beauty and skill of the historical styles. Really enjoyed this class and got some great videos of the experience, too. Highly recommended!
