View on Google MapsWell to start my Wife and I were greeted by Michael and we were informed that we were the only participants booked for this evening (Wife's Birthday). Our first thoughts were slight disappointment, but seconds later that changed realizing she gets her own dinner tour. Michael made this event very, very enjoyable and informative. Now to the food!!! OMG!!!! Every dish was awesome, starting at the Old Gilman Grill to the Westin Chattanooga Paloma Bar de Tapas (10th floor, scenic view of the city) and finishing up at the Common House Chattanooga. Honestly we were stuffed at the first stop and were thinking can we make it to the end??? Well the second stop was also awesome (Paloma Bar de Tapas). Finishing up at the Common House was also awesome. So we like to express our special thank you to Michael, who made this tour just flat out awesome from start to finish. We would highly recommend this tour everyone we know and anyone that is considering it, you will not be disappointed for sure. Michael asked us at the end, what was our favorite dish from the tour, and that was a very, very hard choice to make, but for me it was the Carrot Cake at Paloma Bar de Tapas and my Wife's pick was the Pasta dish from Old Gilman Grill.
Briana was very knowledgeable about Chattanooga’s history and the local dining scene. Gilman’s was our favorite stop. So glad the tour had a van to get us around the city during some rainy times.
Chatt/Taste offers the absolute best food tour in Chattanooga! Our guide, Briana, was fantastic--she served as our knowledgeable historian, professional chauffeur, and warm host all in one. She was genuinely polite, engaging, and passionate about the city. The food and drinks throughout the tour were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned. Our first stop, The Old Gilman Grill, served truly authentic pasta that set a high bar for the day. My personal favorite was Common House (the beautifully restored former YMCA). The space is brimming with history and architectural charm, and they poured the best Old Fashioned l've ever tasted. We ended on a high note at the stunning Westin Hotel rooftop, complete with cozy fireplaces, festive Christmas decorations, and breathtaking city views. We can't recommend Chatt/Taste highly enough! Briana curates each tour thoughtfully, taking you to unique, special spots with outstanding food, drinks, and stories. It's an unforgettable way to experience Chattanooga and create lasting memories.
Briana is so good, and her pride in her city definitely comes through. She knows the city and the food scene and provided some great inside stories.
We were warmly greeted by Briana. She was very fun and informative making our experience so enjoyable. The first stop was Old Gilman Grill. The pasta with fennel sausage was amazing. And paired well with the Pinot Noir wine they provided. Next we went to Paloma Bar de Tapas. It was on the top floor of Westin. The decor, ambiance and large windows overlooking the mountains was astonishing. The chicken skewer, roasted potatoes with a garlic aioli was yummy. They also provided a white or red sangria which went well with the pairing. And to top it off the desert was doughnuts fruit with a chocolate dipping sauce. Then we headed to the Nightcap. For a dessert and cocktail of your choice. I chose the Crème Brûlée and the S’mores espresso martini! Both spectacular. Thanks Briana for a fun, informative and yummy tour! Highly recommend!
Michael is a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant choices were spot-on. Even though we are local, we don't often get downtown, so this was a great chance to be introduced to places we aren't familiar with.
Alex was our tour guide & he made it fun & we learned some history. The food was delicious. The restaurant‘s Feerick was great. Cocktails were great. The dessert and dinner drinks were great. We highly recommend to do it again. When company come I will suggest to them to doing this.
Michael was a very congenial host, well versed in Chattanooga lore. He took genuine interest in all the participants and ensured everyone got what they wanted to eat.
Very good food. Small enough group that after tour you felt like you made some new friends. Micheal our tour guide was awesome
The tour was amazing - full of delicious food, plentiful history and an awesome tour guide (Michael). Each stop on the tour was unique and well planned. We were warmly greeted by staff and servers. Our tour lasted about 4 hours and Michael was attentive and full of great conversation throughout the tour. We definitely recommend!
