As we made our way to Herkalio he made several statements about what we were seeing and there importance to the lively hoods of the Certain people. Our ship was 2 hours late but the driver still waited for us and picked us up as soon as we arrived. The car was clean and modern, cold bottled water was provided and the drive was very smooth and comfortable.
My wife, 19 year old daughter and I hired Leonidas to transfer us from Heraklion to Chania. We took the day to do it and stopped at some Caves, an Olive Oil press, had lunch in Rethymno, and made stop at Lake Koumas among other sites. Leonidas is an excellent driver with a kind demeanor and lots of information and local knowledge. I would highly recommend using Crete Wanderer for transportation. We felt like we got much more out of the trip than if we had driven ourselves.
