These are just two of the most spectacular historical sites in Sicily. The temples in the Agrigento Valley easily compare to those I have seen in Greece. Our driver Alessandro dropped us off at the top of the valley allowing us a downhill walk through the park, and picked us up at the bottom. At the Villa Romana del Casale, the mosaics are beyond comparison to even those that are in the British Museum. Every room and hall was spectacularly ornamented. The women athlete room and the collection of the animals hall were the highlights. Our driver Alessandro couldn’t be better. He was first and foremost a safe smooth driver getting us through the cities, highways and back roads brilliantly. He was also friendly and informative all along the way with information about what we were about to see, but also the towns we went through and Italy in general.
Excellent tour! Alessandro made what started out as a challenging trip with lost luggage into a truly amazing second day in Sicily. He was very informative and pointed us to amazing restaurants and things to do. I highly recommend him and loved his private tour. We stopped for the best orange I have ever eaten.
We had a perfect day doing this tour! Our driver was very knowledgeable, friendly and a good driver so we felt safe. For us, the Villa Romana del Casale was the highlight of the tour! We had enough time to watch everything. We saw many different landscapes of Sicily during the tour and they are all beautiful :-) We can highly recommend it!
The Tour to Agrigento and the Villa Romana del Casale went as planned and it was a good day as we were able to talk about the local scene and ask questions as required. We were also given plenty of time to visit the two locations on our own. I would recommend this tour.
Just WOW! Such an amazing day! The sites were phenomenal and the weather was perfect. Alessandro was so informative and attentive and treated us like royalty. Such a fantastic day!!
Both site were amazing , we wish we could stay longer to enjoy more , especially Villa Romana , there are so many pictures to see
