View on Google MapsIdeal not to "visit idiot". In addition to architecture, Leslie spoke of the famous Cathars, medieval defense systems, the origin (often medieval) of the expressions used in everyday life, everyday life in the Middle Ages, all punctuated by two or three well-felt "blagounettes".
I was visiting Carcassonne with New Market Holidays. We had a tour of the city with Julian. I highly recommend his tours. He brought the place alive with his love of history of this wonderful city, along with the tails of troubadours. As we walked, he guided us through its history, the buildings and made suggestions as to what we might wish to see more of in our free time. His love of this place just shone through.
Hello, our guide Carolina was excellent knew a lot and spoke good Spanish, however I think the price is excessive for what the tour is. It is very short and there is not much to see. The good thing would be for the Castle to flow. I thought it was very expensive for what it was.

Very nice discovery with our guide of the Tourist Office. Despite a sweltering temperature, we were able to discover the compound, the city and its history. The castle can be visited separately. I strongly recommend the guided tour as it brings many details about the history of the old town. And special anecdotes.
Our guide Anna was fantastic! Gave us an amazing well structured history into the village and surrounding areas also great recommendations for restaurants, etc.. 6⭐️
Absolutely fantastic guide. I highly recommend Anna. Her knowledge of the city was extensive and a great sense of humour.
Carcassonne is well worth a visit, and you get so much more out of the visit if you take a guided tour to get all the history behind this great place. Anna was very knowing and was really good at telling the story of Carcassonne.
Anna’s deep knowledge, friendly demeanor, and excellent English made this the highlight of our trip.
Natalie is a great tour guide. We learned a lot about the history and architecture of Carcassonne, folk stories about the local shops, in a very relaxed, organized and fun manner. It was a rainy day, but we didn’t miss a bit. We would definitely recommend her.
Beautiful city with its castle and ramparts, mythical place, it feels like another time! We never tire of the beauty of the city A guided tour by the tourist office with a fantastic, passionate guide, (I don't remember her first name 😒) a funny little lady full of energy who takes you into the history of Carcassonne, and then visit the castle with Fabrice, very interesting also and in addition to the visit of the citadel! Of course, there are many tourists and restaurants, souvenir shops, but this is normal! It's the ransom of fame!
