View on Google MapsThe guide Marion was very nice and knowledgeable and she added a great deal to the experience. She gave significant historical context and explained various interesting architectural details. English is not her native language so there were mild difficulties at times but not bad.
We booked a one hour tour with Viator & it was only us … so private tour with Elton He was so knowledgeable & helped us understand the history of Carcassonne
We were scheduled to go on a walking tour of Carcassonne, which was a fairly expensive guided tour. The day before the tour an email was sent to us changing the meeting point for the tour. (The published meeting point was only a few minutes from our hotel and we planned accordingly) Unfortunately, we did not see the email until mid way through breakfast the morning of the tour, which didn't leave sufficient time to rendezvou at the new meeting point. We therefore missed the tour. When we returned to Canada we tried to obtain a refund and were refused. Even though the tour guide changed the meeting point and was unable to contact us on a timely basis we were not compensated for the miscommunication.

Great walking tour. The hour absolutely flew past as we walked through the picturesque castle and our guide immersed us with historical info in a very easy to understand and engage with way. My only regret is I didn’t book a longer tour!
It was a very good tour. The guide was knowledgable about community and showed passionate interest into history. He was very sensitive to what I was wanting to know and explaining it to me highly recommend this tour.
Remy was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide helping us understand the history of Carcassone over three major periods. Five stars !
