View on Google MapsThe only downside of this tour was the drive time as it was 4-5 hours, but that cannot be helped. Everything was great, it was a very informative tour and you can see an original stucco in Balamku. Highly reccommend! Wil was very knowledgable about the Mayan history and has a good eye for different kinds of birds and animals that I otherwise would not have seen. We ended our tour with dinner at a restaurant, but he does provide sandwhiches and snacks tbroughout the day.
Although this was indeed a very long day due to the required driving time, Enrique made it a very interesting & educational day. In addition to seeing and learning about the wonderful Calekmul civilization, we were able to see several unique animal & plant species. It ended with an excellent dinner at a local restaurant near the entrance to the reserve.

Enrique was our guide - he was great and showed and explained us thrilling things about the Mayan history and Calakmul and Balamku. We had a long ride with the car there but made enough stops and Enrique provided sufficient drinks and food. Highly recommended trip and guide.
