Obviously a long coach day ride from Cambridge to Stonehenge and Bath. The tour guide was also the driver. It would have been better to have a different driver and a tour guide.
Great trip! We enjoyed the stories with our guide Matt, he is very knowledgable! Happy with the tour! We had such a wonderful time, great weather.

I had the best time and would highly recommend Roots Travel & Tours to anyone. It was much nicer to have a small bus tour and Matt was knowledgeable, friendly and the tours are so well organised. I was lucky enough to go on the Windsor and Oxford trip and Bath and Stonehenge. Unfortunately, I missed out on the York tour but I know it would have been fantastic too. The walking tours were great and it was a good mix of walking tour and have time to spend on your own walking around. Thanks Matt!
The day was long but well worth the time. Our guide had great knowledge and did a great job keeping to a schedule.
We had the good fortune to experience two tours: (1) Bath and Stonehenge, and (2) Stratford-upon-Avon and The Cotswolds. Matt is a seasoned guide with a wealth of information and an enormously engaging delivery! As a native of The Cotswolds, he was especially adept at creating a more personal journey through several villages (that will never be on the “big bus” tour itineraries). We travelled in a comfortable 16 - passenger van to each destination, with coffee/restroom stops along the way. A Roots tour will surely be one of the highlights of your visit to England!
The tour of the beautiful and historically rich Stonehenge and the Mediterranean-style city of Bath was a delight. I learned more about England and its historic monuments on this tour than any other tour I have taken while traveling England. Matt was extremely knowledgeable, personal, and humorous, making the trip all the more enjoyable. He was very patient, allowing a 10 minute waiting period before the group set off, which was much appreciated by my family, who were running a tad late. On the way back from the tours, a passenger began asking Matt a couple of questions about his line of work, which soon developed into a conversation ranging from the economic and political state of Britain sports! Regarding the information that Matt provided, I learned so much and now appreciate Stonehenge specifically much more. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone with even an inkling of interest in history and culture - it will be worth it!
