View on Google MapsI visited Pico de Loro today with my son and the experience was truly extraordinary. The views from the top are unique, those that leave you speechless and make every step worthwhile. The terrain is demanding, but overall the hike feels completely rewarding and is a five-star adventure. I want to highlight especially our guide, Jhonier, who made all the difference. His knowledge of the trail, his patience and the way he accompanied the rhythm of the group made us feel safe and enjoy every leg of the tour. Without a doubt, having him as a guide took the experience to another level. I recommend this tour 100%, both for those who seek a physical challenge and those who want to connect with nature and live a special moment in the Farallones de Cali. An experience I would repeat without hesitation!
We did this trek with my Italian girlfriend. Ernesto accompanied us on a day started by rain. We were lucky to get to know the history of this place and appreciate these beautiful landscapes.
This trail is the most difficult trail I ever had. This high humidity, heavy rainfalls an a mean inclination of 35% make it unique I was one this Trail with Julian - even if it was not possible to reach the top at this day it was a great experience
The excellent route, I felt renewed with the route, and it was a challenge fulfilled in my list. The guide Julian very attentive to your needs, very understanding, very good talk, rather 1000/10.
Valley Adventours was a great company to work with to plan our Pico de Loro hike. They were extremely responsive, informative, and flexible when we wanted to bring three extra friends the day before the excursion. They were timely and their communication was clear. Julian, our tour guide, was also lovely and though it was a Spanish tour, he has fairly good English so we got by as an English-speaking group. It was a really rainy and muddy day, but we still had a blast. Thank you!
Exceeded all my expectations! Ernesto my guide was amazing and the trail in truly wonderful -full of challanges and magical flora!! Loved it!
Our guide Ernesto was amazing. He was very patient with us as we took breaks on the way up and encouraged us every step of the way. My friend who joined me on the hike doesn’t speak Spanish, and he was very understanding as I translated for her. He had so much information about the local flora and fauna that really made the hike interactive and exceeded our expectations. The hike itself was hard (especially on the way up), but completely worth it! Can’t recommend this experience enough. Gracias Ernesto!
It was a great adventours experience. In addition to hiking, I did some birdwatching and studying some plants in the Parque Nacional Natural Farallones de Cali. Even though the guide was only speaking Spanish I could manage with everything by using Google translate. He was well knowledgeable and helpful. The scenery on the top was stunning and heavenly. It’s a thrilling adventure, but definitely need good endurance to try it.
The whole process from pickup, the hike and dropoff was all seamless without any issues. Julian was a wonderful guide and I enjoyed his guidance, professionalism and conversation.
